NOTICE TO ALL ESTABLISHMENTS ENGAGING 10(+2) VOCATIONAL PASS OUTS

UNDER THE APPRENTICES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1986

Dear Sirs,

At the outset, we would like to convey our sincere thanks for your continued support

extended to this office in effective implementation of The Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended

thereafter in regards to one year Apprenticeship Training of Graduate, Diploma Engineers and

10(+2) Vocational passed outs.

This is to bring to your kind notice that Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt.

of India vide their letter ref. no. F.No.16-1/2017-TS.VII dated 02.05.2017 informed that the

Cabinet Secretariat decided to transfer the responsibility of implementation and monitoring of

the apprenticeship training of 10(+2) Vocational passed out students to Ministry of Skill

Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. As per the said directive of Govt. of India,

BOPT (ER), Kolkata shall not be further implementing The Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1986

that relates to the training of 10(+2) Vocational passed out students.

All the students who have joined as 10(+2) Vocational apprentices and have their contract

registered with BOPT (ER) shall be dealt with this Board till the completion of their training.

The National Webportal has been made open for creation of claim bills for the apprentices

already registered with this Board as on date. However, facility for creation of new contract for

such candidates has been stopped.

Establishments engaging Technician Vocational apprentices and the Contract of

Apprenticeship is not registered or yet to be registered with Board are requested to contact

Regional Office under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.
