In Sympathy… We send our condolences to the Brzezniak Family. Jan’s mother, Evelyn Butterworth, age 92, passed away on May 3. Ms. Butterworth had lived with Jan and Ed for many years.

Keeping Up with the…Grandchildren! The Hills are alive with the sound of music--as well as sports, theatre, and Scouts! Lee and Marsha Hill have kept busy this summer with the activities of their grandchildren, as many other grandparents do!

They are just returning from Washington state. There, Brandon and Connor Hill are marching in their high school band at the Summer Fest; Brandon is having his art shown at the Art Fair; and Connor is celebrating his Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

Four grandsons are athletes. On the west coast, Ryan Hill is with the Kitsap Soccer Club and playing in the Northwest conference of the NPSL. Lee Hill, in Frankfort, is looking forward to another golf season with the Millikin Golf Team this fall; his brother, David Hill, has had a busy summer playing baseball all around Frankfort and the Chicago area. Jacob Meyer, Manteno, had a busy May and June playing baseball in the

    Manteno League.

Finally, not to be overlooked, granddaughter, Natalie Meyer, Manteno, is happy to be playing a Lioness in the BBCHS Summer Theatre production of The Lion King, July 12-16.

Marsha Hill will be directing the Wizard of Oz at the Country Theatre Workshop in Cissna Park. The performances will be August 3-6 and 10-13. For more information:

After 10 years as part of the newsletter team, it is with great regret that this will be my last issue, as I prepare for retirement and relocating closer to our family. Thank you, Friends, for the

    great memories! – Elise
