Flexible, safe, and cost efficient

Frame scaffolding, whatever the job

Whatever the job, renovation, new buildings, roof or wall, paint-

work or façade paneling, outside or inside—BOSTA 70 is always

in its element. Whatever the job, BOSTA 70 offers the perfect

solution. Quick to assemble and dismantle, absolutely sturdy

and safe in every respect. BOSTA 70 is easily our best-selling

scaffolding system and one of the best in its class. Countless

tradesmen, contractors and scaffolders are impressed by its

reliability and cost efficiency. See for yourself!

3

We count on being counted on

BOSTA 70 is a 70 cm wide load

class 3 working and protective

scaffold, complying with DIN EN

12811, for a maximum permitted

platform load of 200 kg/m2. The

standard version of BOSTA 70

has a general building law ap-

proval. Easy handling ensures

fast, uncomplicated and fail-safe

assembly. This saves not only

a vast amount of time but also

cash.

Fits anywhere

Practice-proven measurements

make BOSTA 70 versatile and

flexible. Bay lengths of 0.74 to

4.00 m, possible widths of 0.70

to 1.70 m and storey heights of

0.66 to 2.00 m are sizes that will

fit virtually anywhere.

Wonderful at wandering

Should you be short of scaffold-

ing material, just remove the

end bays on one side and

replace them on the other. No

more practical to save money!

Inner and outer values

make it a winner

Fully galvanized steel parts.

Wooden parts impregnated to

protect them from rot. Made-

to-measure, rugged parts, all of

them quality inspected. Which is

why BOSTA 70 is so durable.

Scaffolding you can’t outgrow

Fitted with approved acces-

sories, its talents grow and are

redefined as time goes on,

scaffolding that keeps pace with

your tasks. In the long run, a

safe and rewarding investment.

Its greatest assets at a glance

l Straightforward, fail-safe,

one-man assembly.

l Vast versatility thanks to

system parts in various

lengths, heights and widths.

l Bay-by-bay dismantling and

re-assembly (“wandering”).

l With only a few extra parts,

BOSTA 70 can be turned into

a mobile scaffold, scaffold

brackets, stairways or support-

ing structures for shelters.

Safety first

The planks

To make BOSTA 70 as flexible

as possible, we have provided

a variety of planks. From

wood via steel to aluminum—

all BOSTA 70 planks are

unbeatable in terms of rugged-

ness and safety: the steel

parts are hot-dip galvanized,

the timber planks effectively

protected against rot.

These planks are surfaces on

which you can walk and work

and, at the same time, they are

self-bracing structural elements.

Fitted with sturdy and robust

bearing claws that simplify

assembly. Moreover, all of them

can be used as upper planking

in protective and roof protective

scaffolding.

Another advantage:

The stages and frames are

made of aluminum, which is

50 percent lighter for easier

handling and loading, transport,

erection and disassembly.

7

Steel plank

For the most punishing applica-

tions. Completely hot-dip galva-

nized, with a slip-proof surface.

Width: 32 cm.

Length: 400, 300, 250, 200, 150,

125 cm.

Hollow box plank

Ultralight and non-slip. Long

service life thanks to alu-

minum/zinc coating.

Width: 32 cm.

Length: 300, 250, 200, 150, 125,

74 cm.

Aluminum plank frame

A combination of aluminum

and plywood. Ultralight, with

exchangeable cover.

Handles easily

Erection, disassembly, modification

The gravity flip

The vertical frames have inside

forked bolts with gravity flips to

fasten diagonals, guard rails

and toe boards. These self-

securing fixed points are very

practical and hard-wearing.

Inside no time at all, they lock

firmly into place and guarantee

absolute safety. Because they

are placed on the inside, they

make assembly and transporta-

tion easy.

Straightened out auto-

matically

Once the first bay is assembled,

consisting of base jacks, two

V-frames, guard rails and diago-

nals, everything follows auto-

matically. No need for additional

components. The base level is

braced by nothing but the hori-

zontal guard rails.

Wandering

If you are unable to commission large quanti-

ties of BOSTA 70 for major projects, simply let

the scaffold do the wandering: bay and storey-

wise, BOSTA 70 can simply be disassembled

on one side and re-assembled on the other.

The plank’s bearing claws are rounded off for

simple removal. So, you can work along the

building in sections.

Just a few parts, easily identi-

fiable and systematically

practical, you simply can’t

make any mistakes. This is

what makes BOSTA 70 such

a best-seller. Erect, dismantle

or modify, all in a few easy

steps. Doable by just one

man, no tools. The details are

ingenious:

1. The bottom-most scaffold

bay is perfectly aligned simply

by turning the jack nut. The

diagonal fits exactly over the

lower gravity flip and braces the

scaffold bay. After this, all

further storeys are automatically

straightened out.

5 6

7 8

4. Clink the top end of the

diagonal into place by inserting

the hook into the inside hole

of the vertical frame’s U-section.

Just one diagonal for five

scaffold bays!

5. Place the lower end of the

diagonal and the toe board over

the gravity flips.

6. Position the frame panel as

a work plank and horizontal

bracing. Repeat, over and over

again.

7. Complete the three-part side

protection at all levels. Guard

rails, toe boards, transverse

double railing 70 as well as

transverse double post 70 are

installed at the top level.

8. Regulation tying by means of

the scaffold retainers with

couplers. It grips into an eyebolt

which is doweled into the wall.

2. Insert the vertical frames,

without screws or bolts or drop

plugs. Tubular insertions,

15 cm long, maintain maximum

stability.

3. Just slide the guard rail at

back- and knee-level over the

self-securing gravity flips.

It couldn’t be easier.

10

Ready to reach out

The brackets

Irrespective of the

scaffold configuration,

the brackets allow the

system to be adapted

to any façade projec-

tions. These are

steplessly height adju-

stable and secured

to the scaffold decks.

Projections, recesses, oriels or inclined

runs, many buildings demand a scaffold

with high adaptability. With the four

enlargement brackets from the BOSTA 70

program, you are ideally geared for the

most complex of challenges. Whether it

is a simple extension of working width

you require or a system displacement,

dimensions of 35, 70 or 100 cm make it

all possible. Without any special static

elements. What’s more, these same

brackets can also be used for the bigger

brother, BOSTA 100!

1. The enlargement bracket 35

extends the working deck to 1.10 m.

2. The enlargement bracket 70

allows you to reach out and thus achieve a

70 cm broader working surface.

3. The enlargement bracket 100

is fastened at the top and bottom with half

couplers. Overall working width 1.70 m.

Top-flight when it comes to safety

The stairways

The BOSTA 70 range comes with all the

parts enabling you to assemble the up

and down stairways in no time at all.

Depending on your space requirements,

opt for the inner-lying ladder passage,

the single-flight or the double-flight scaf-

fold stairway.

The double-flight scaffold stairway

This is made up of two BOSTA 70 scaffold

bays built in front of each other in which

stair flyers and hand rails are assembled

alternately. Maximum height: 64.50 m.

The single-flight scaffold stairway

A 2.50 meter long bay with flight of stairs

and handrails is built in front of the scaffold

in addition. The stairs are 65 cm wide, the

maximum overall height is 64.50 m. These

safetycertified stairways can also be erect-

ed in front of other scaffolds such as the

BOSTA 100 and MODEX.

The inner-lying ladder passage

Integrates into your BOSTA 70 scaffold and

consists simply of the ladder passage

frames and loose ladder or the aluminum

ladder passage.

12

You name it, we have it

The options

Whatever else you may need, you’ll find it in the

BOSTA 70 range of accessories! Tested and ap-

proved parts allowing simple solutions and saving

work, time and your money. And, as far as safety is

concerned, no savings have been made.

4.00 m system bridge

The 4 m long and 32 cm wide steel or alu-

minum plank can be used as an adjustment

bay, connecting element, and bridge.

Plenty of flexibility from a single part.

The system bridging girders—5.00 and

7.50 m

Oriels and driveways are easily overcome

with just a few parts. Even large-surface

coverings and/or working areas can be

constructed.

The system-free lattice girders in steel or

aluminum

For spanning and bracing wherever scaf-

folds have to be partly suspended. As

these girders are system-free, they can be

attached anywhere independently of any

bay length. Available in 3.10 m to 7.60 m, in

aluminum up to 8.10 m.

The passage frame

Provides a safe passage way for pedestri-

ans on pavements. Available in widths

of 1.00 m or 1.50 m. The guard rails and

diagonals are fastened to the outside by

means of gravity flips, thus preventing the

possibility of injuries.

Hint: The passage frame 100 can also be

used as an interchangeable frame, meaning

that the BOSTA 70 can be erected on top

of BOSTA 100.

13

Protection grates for roof tilers

Safety by the rules! The safety grates are

easily mounted and protect men and

material from falling down. They are also a

substitute for the three-part guard system.

Select the BOSTA 70 plank you prefer—all

of them are approved and will absorb

dynamic loads.

The shelter bracket

Crossbar and strut connect with hinges

and are fastened to the vertical frame. With

cantileverages of 1.00 and 1.80 m, they

serve as a protection against falling objects.

The mobile scaffold

It takes only a few extras to turn the

BOSTA 70 into a mobile scaffold. With a

standing height of 10.50 m indoors and

up to 8.50 m outdoors.

The required safety

counterweights

are left out here in

favour of a clear

depiction of the

castor wheel bar.

14

A place for everything. Everything in place

The accessories

Essential for a fluent flow of

work. The right equipment

that not only keeps the small

parts neatly stored and close

at hand, but also accommo-

dates planks, frames and

other components to ensure

safe transport and space-

saving storage. In this way, all

the BOSTA 70 parts are in the

right place and can be safely

transported by fork lift truck

or crane.

And we also have a number of

practical tools to make work

easier and safer.

The vertical frame pallet

Acts as a packaging, transport

and storage shelf for a maxi-

mum of 20 vertical frames. With

lift-off retainers.

The Euro lattice box

Transport and storage box made

of galvanized steel. For housing

small parts up to a maximum

weight of 1.2 t. Combinable with

the storage trough.

The storage trough

For toe boards, diagonals,

guard rails and other things.

The trolley/pallet

Up to 1 t of scaffolding materi-

als can be stored and, with the

aid of two trolleys, transported.

The nets and tarpaulins

The nets are made of HDPE-

monofilament yarn, doubly

woven in the center. The tarpau-

lins consist of lattice-reinforced

and UV-stabilized polyethylene.

A reliable protection against

falling materials and dust and

dirt.

The identification tarpaulin

In certain cases prescribed by

the workmen’s compensation

insurance, the scaffolding can

be lastingly and easily legibly

identified on this tarpaulin.

Secured to the guard rails.

The dowel tester

For checking safe dowelings of

the screws/bolts on the building.

Designed so that the pressure is

outside the potential breakout

range of the dowel. Provides

precise and reliable test results.

The scaffolding ratchet

The first ratchet with integrated

torque. For an exact and safe

assembly of the couplers so

that each coupler is tightened

and not overtightened.
