Beerbohm Tree’s famous London version of

OLIVER TWISTThe sole acting rights for this city have been secured by the Boston

Stage Society and this great Dickens play which is the theatrical sensation

of London at the present time will be presented here exactly as it is now run-

ning at His Majesty’s Theatre, London, where it has played to the full capac-

ity of the Theatre since the opening of the season.

The first performance of the play in America was given a week ago at

the Fifth Avenue Theatre in New York. It was a great success. The play

is announced there for an indefinite run.

The law-suit which Mr. Tree has brought to restrain its performance in

New York will not affect its presentation in Boston, as special permission has

been obtained from Mr. Tree for the Boston production.

Theatre “ Ticket Book,” entitling the holder to one special seat at every week’s

performance until the close of the dramatic season on June 2, 1906.

The Castle Square Ticket Book ”is an innovation this year, and a very popu-

lar one. No other theatre in the country issues such a book. It is a neatly printed

little volum e, about te size of a lady’s visiting card. Indeed, it is not unlike a

railroad mileage book.

Each book contains a number of coupons, one coupon for each performance of

the year. The inside front cover of the Book has stamped upon it the location of

the selected seat. On the inside back cover is a number, which number is regis-

tered in the purchaser’s name at the box office, to identify the Book and aid in its

recovery in case of loss.

The holder of the ticket presents the Book to the doorkeeper, who detaches

one of the coupons. The holder then shows the cover (which serves as a seat

check) to the usher, who takes him to the proper seat and returns the Book.

Castle Square Ticket Books will be issued for any seat in the theatre, and for

any day of the week. They are offered at a substantial discount from the regular

scale of prices. Each book, if bought for a Christmas gift, will bear only the

coupons from January i to June 2, a total of 22 coupons. The important saving in

price on these Theatre Ticket Books over the same number of tickets bought singly
