Arguments take many flavours and can lead you to those unexplored territories of thoughts

and ideas.But hey we like to argue and we dont mind even if it turns nasty..So Ladies and

Gentlemen the motion of the house is: The House must argue..

Raise your voice for your countrymen..Fight for your rights..Form alliances...Formulate

plans...Think Out of the box and Come up with your ideas to save mother nature... Here You

fight not only for your survival but for the entire Humanity.

Rounds:

Online Screening Round: Scribble It OutoEvery registered team will be given a short online quiz.oThe quiz will be based on current political and social issues.oThe dates for the quiz will be communicated later through e-mails.oScreening will be done on the basis of the scores obtained in the quiz.

2nd Round (On campus round): Speak, Listen Be HeardTough times await you. Doomsday isnt too far. Do you feel like weight of the world is on

your shoulders? It can be even harder when you and your countrymen are all alone and you

dont know where to turn. Here we give you a platform to propose your ideas to formulate a

post Kyoto agreement .Present your ideas in front of the world for we believe that every

voice, no matter how loud or quiet it may be need to heard.

Shortlisted teams will be called on campus and shall make a proposal of the

agreement.

oTeams shall be then given one hour time to prepare a presentation of 5minutes each in order to clarify their stance.

3rd Round: Colosseum Here IMNU is where you delegates of nations meet and come up with a post Kyoto protocol

agreement to save nature from this mad rush of human race towards industrialisation.

Game will have a setup similar to COP16 summit which took place in Cancun, Mexico. A

team of two would be assigned a country and you would be the delegates .News would be

flashed on screen related to various countries during the meet and You have to defend your

countrys stance on that issue.

Caucus Meet:

The delegates break for lunch and during this, delegates would have to convince other

nations of the proposals of their interests. Proposal will be presented in the meet and the

voting would be done. Now, proposal passes only when it has majority and Yes from all

the 5 Veto powers. Country has a choice to say yes, no or abstain during the voting. Game

concludes when proposal passes.

oAll the teams shall be evaluated on the basis of their arguments, counter arguments,concerns, clarity of thoughts, feasibility of implementation and contribution towards

the formulation of the final protocol.

Rules and regulations:

The candidates should be familiar with assigned country's history, culture, politicalstructure, current political affairs as well as environmental concerns.

Knowing the other countrys stance on assigned topic will help you predict theirarguments during discussion.

In order to adequately represent your country during the conference, you may needto interact with delegates from other countries.

Knowledge of other nations past steps towards environmental issues will alsobenefit in fruitful discussions.

Delegates would be observed and judged during their interactions outside the meetalso.

General instructions:

Maximum No. of teams allowed per college is 3. Entries are invited in teams of 2 students.All the participants are required to carry their college identity card.The event is meant for B-School students only.The decision of the judges will be final and binding on all participants.

Prizes:

1st Prize 8000 Rs.2nd Prize 4000 Rs.
