During this term the students will be participating in intensive swimming, please ensure your child is bringing their swimming equipment with them. The Gold Coast Excursion is fast approaching please remember to have the opportunity to attend all students must be coming to school everyday and on time. More information will be send home as the time gets closer. This term for fortnightly 100% attendance the reward will be a soft serve ice cream from Kelly in the canteen. All 15 schools will participate and parents/carers, students, staff, agencies and community members will be evaluated. 1D- Miss Duiz This week 1D are straight back into their hard work with writing, spelling, reading and many fun activities during Learning Centres. In Maths, students are learning about place value. In the afternoon sessions students will be beginning the Geography unit ‘Weather’ and the Science unit ‘Push and Pull’.

Stage 1 AP- Miss Duiz Welcome back to term 4! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays, especially after such a busy term 3! This Thursday Stage One will be holding a Snow Cone Day to raise money for our PCYC activities this term. This Friday we begin Swimming for Sport. All students are required to bring in swimmers and a towel every Friday.

PERFORMANCE NIGHT

Early Stage 1 AP- Miss Mowbray Welcome back to our Kindergarten and EYTC students for the last term of 2017! This term the Dingoes and Wombats will be transitioning into Kindergarten, doing exciting lesson and activities with KM and KF weekly. Our Kindergarten 2018 Information Night will be held on Tuesday 17th October. I hope to see you there!

KF- Miss Finch Welcome back everyone to a very busy term 4. I hope you all had a restful and relaxing school holidays. KF are right back into it in the last term of the year. We are continuing on with our procedural reads and creating wonderful writing samples. Have a fantastic week and lets have a

great term.

Welcome to Week 1 of Term 4! This year is just flying by. This week, Infants will begin swimming for sport. Please remember to bring 50c, a towel and your swimmers every Friday in a labelled plastic bag. Remember to come to school on time everyday so we can fill our class Firefly jar and have a class party. Have a fantastic first week back!

KM- Miss Mowbray Welcome back to Term 4! It is straight back into learning this week. We will be focusing on our independent writing a lot this term and our number work in Maths. Don’t forget this term for sport we will be doing swimming so remember your 50c, swimmers and towel on Fridays! Have a great week!

1C- Miss Cook Welcome back after a relaxing holiday. We are ready for a very busy term 4. This week we are starting our writing drafts, learning about plotting numbers on a number line, beginning our health unit ‘Safe Living’ and learning the skills of an over arm throw. On Friday, we start swimming for sport at the pool. Every Friday students need to bring their swimmers and a towel.

3H- Miss Heaney Welcome back to Term 4! I hope

2D- Miss Dorrington Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful break. This term we have a few exciting things happening. Musica-viva will be visiting us soon which is always exciting. We will be studying some very exciting units this term and hope to continue expanding our knowledge. Our class will also continue our visits to the hospital with the choir to sing for the long stay patients.

Term 4 - Welcome back everyone!

This term 3W will continue to develop our skills in imaginative writing. We

are learning all about space in our Science unit ‘Earth’s Place in Space’.

In Geography we will be looking at

factors that shape places and contemporary land issues. We may

even get a chance to be a town planner and design our own town.

Have a great first week back!

Stage 3 AP- Miss Wilson Welcome to Term 4! We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and students are ready to learn in Term 4. We have a busy Term ahead with the Lake Keepit Excursion, Year 6 2018 Captains Speeches, Year 6 Graduation and School Presentation Night. Could all current Year 6 students please being in a baby photo for the graduation slide show. Remember to keep coming to school each day to be eligible to attend the Goald Coast Excursion. Have a super Term 4!

3B- Miss Buckley Welcome to Term 4! I hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. This week 3B will be starting our exciting science unit ‘Earth’s Place in Space’ which is all about our wonderful Solar System. In Mathematics we will be practising our skills of how to solve long division problems. Just a reminder to Year 6 students if you could bring in a baby photo to your teacher ASAP it would be much appreciated. Have a great week!

Stage 2 AP- Miss Griffiths I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday and are ready for a very busy Term 4. This Term we have Semester 2 reports, Presentation Night and Parent Teacher interviews. Very soon we have our excursion to Lake Keepit. It will be a very exciting week away with students participating in sporting activities such as grass skiing, bush walking and canoeing and much more.

2B- Mr Dewberry Welcome to Term 4! I would like to thank all of 2B for a great effort performing their dance for Performance Night. You all looked great and tried your very best. Please remember to return home readers often so I can exchange booklets. Remember to keep recording your nights read and let me know so your child receives a certificate.

2G- Miss Griffiths Wow those holidays went fast. I hope everyone had an enjoyable time and are ready for a busy term. In English we are concentrating on our writing and planning. This term Stage 2 will have another Attendance reward for students who miss 3 or less days this term. 93% is our school aim for attendance and Stage 2 will try hard to beat this. Have a great week!

Did you know that if your child misses as few as eight days in a school term, by the end of primary school they will have missed a whole year of education?

By law, you are required to send your child to school every day. If your child has to be away from school for any reason, please either tell your child’s teacher or send a signed note explaining the reason for the absence within seven days.

3-6L- Miss Wade Welcome to Term 4! This year has just flown by! I hope everyone has had a safe and relaxing holiday. During this term 3-6L will be participating in a joint unit of work with 2-6N and K-3W looking at local Community Members and Services. In Science we will be exploring the concepts of Night and Day. We will be continuing to complete learning assignments in Maths. Looking forward to another exciting term of learning in 3-6L!

Miss Bartley & Mrs Roe Welcome back to term 4! We hope everyone had a lovely break. Remember to return your Home Readers each week and exchange your books for new ones. It’s great to see students working towards achieving their reading goals. Happy reading!! Students are also remaindered to complete their homework this term.

Support AP- Miss Nixon The last term of the year already! This term, all students will be participating in swimming for Sport on a Friday. The Infants will head to the pool at 11.30am and return at 1pm. The Primary will be swimming from 1.30pm until 3pm. Please ensure that you pack swimmers, a towel and 50c entry for the pool each Friday. Please come and speak to me if you have any questions or concerns. I hope all the students going to Lake Keepit next week have a great time!

K-3W - Mrs Wood Welcome to Term 4! I hope you all had a relaxing break and are ready to get back into learning. This term we will be participating in lots of fun and interesting programs. We will continue to cook on Thursdays and go on shopping visits. We will also be joining the other support classes in looking at local Community Members and Services. Next Monday will be our first visit to the PCYC for gymnastics activities, and we are going to the pool to swim this term. What a busy term we have coming up!

2-6N- Miss Nixon Welcome to term 4! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday! This week 2-6N will be getting straight back into English and Mathematics activities. Next Monday will be our first visit to the PCYC for gymnastics and athletics activities. We will be going with K-3W, 3-6L and 3B. Please ensure that your child wears shorts and suitable shoes.
