The Registrar has approved the Absolute Hotel as a suitable venue to hold your Civil Ceremony.

The Absolute Hotel will provide you with a dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly civil ceremony coordinator who has the ability to understand your vision and needs.

We will be with you right from the beginning to assist you with your planning stage all the way through to your special day, ensuring it runs smoothly and is just how you always dreamed it would be.

Our Abbey suite can host a party from 50 to 120. You can gather all your friends and family together and have your blessing/registration with us followed by your reception. Our experienced team have hosted

many civil ceremonies & receptions and to date have already had a number of civil partnerships.

We know that each couple is unique,

so we make all our events personally yours.

In order to hold a Civil Ceremony at Absolute Hotel you are required to:

Terms & Conditions Terms & Conditions Wedding Contract

The following terms & conditions apply between ____________ hereinafter known as ‘The Client’ & the Absolute Hotel, Limerick

Please take time to read our terms & conditions, wedding bookings are accepted only when the terms & conditions have been signed and agreed by the bride & groom and upon payment of the required deposit

Charges & Payment:

1. The Absolute Hotel Limerick requires an initial deposit of €500 to secure wedding date

2. A further deposit of 50% of the final estimated bill is required 6 months prior to the client’s wedding date

3. A further 75% of the final estimated bill is required 1 month prior to the client’s wedding date

4. Final balance can be paid by the client on check out the next day

5. The client must provide card details to act as guarantee on their booking

6. If the client leaves the Absolute Hotel Limerick without settling any outstanding incidentals the client’s card on file will automatically be processed for the outstanding balance on the next working day without notice to the client

7. Guaranteed numbers for catering need to be confirmed 48hours in advance of your function, this will be the minimum number charged unless the number of guests actually attending is greater

8. If the above payment terms are not met the Absolute Hotel reserves the right to cancel the function room and re – let the function space & bedroom accommodation

Cancellations – Accommodation:

Cancellations should be made directly with the Absolute Hotel Limerick by 3 pm on the day prior to arrival in order to avoid any cancellation fee. Cancellations made after this deadline will be charged the first nights’ accommodation cost

A maximum of 10 bedrooms may be held on a ‘block booking’ for your wedding at the time of your initial booking, any agreed allocation of bedrooms (under 20 bedrooms) holding for the cli-ent by the Absolute Hotel Limerick will automatically be released 30 days prior to your arrival date without notice to the client, any allocated bedrooms over 20 will be released 60 days prior to your arrival date without notice to the client

Terms & Conditions Cancellations – Weddings:

If the client cancels their contracted wedding the Absolute Hotel, Limerick shall be entitled to make the following cancellation charges:

The client may cancel their wedding by written notice to the Absolute Hotel Limerick without any charge at any time up to 12 months prior to the date of the function

Cancellation clause:

12 to 8 months prior to the event 15% of the basic function cost



2 to 1 month prior to the event 75% of the basic function cost

Less than 30 days prior to the event 100% of the basic function cost

The basic function cost is calculated upon the basis of the guaranteed minimum numbers due to at-tend the function and on the basis of those items & services stipulated in the agreement & other re-quirements contracted for the function

Any deposits given by the client to the Absolute Hotel Limerick between the 12 – 30 day cancellation period are deemed non-refundable & non transferrable

Reduction in the number of participants of wedding guests for catering & room size

The Absolute Hotel, Limerick will accept without cancellation charge a reduction in the number of participants within the limits indicated below in so far as the client shall have informed the hotel thereof within the following periods:

The approximate number of participants has to be confirmed in writing to the events department of the ‘hotel’ a minimum of 14 days prior to the client’s wedding, the approximate number must be over the minimum numbers required to avail of our wedding packages

No later than 2 working days prior to the client’s wedding the client shall confirm the exact number of participants in writing to the events department of the ‘hotel’ failing this, the last number of partic-ipants notified to the hotel’s events department shall be taken as the confirmed number and this is what is charged for on the day, the exact number must be over the minimum numbers required to avail of our wedding packages

Terms & Conditions Bar Closing times - Music Finish - Function room vacation times

Bar closing hours are officially 11.30pm Sunday - Thursday and 00.30 Friday and Saturday. The Ab-solute Hotel Limerick will allow serving time up until 12:00pm Sunday – Thursday & 01:00 Friday & Saturday, please advise your event coordinator 2 months prior to your event if you require a bar ex-tension which will allow the bar to remain open until 02:00.

This will be at an extra cost of €410.00

Music finish Sunday – Thursday is 12:00pm & 01:00 Friday & Saturday, should a bar extension be in place music finish would be 02:00

The function room is to officially be vacated a half hour after music finish & bar close times

Corkage

Our current corkage rates are €10 per bottle of wine & €12 per bottle of bubbly, please note there is a limited of a half a bottle per person to be brought onto the premises, anything after this must be purchased onsite

Security

It is hotel policy to have security measures in place for the safety of our guests for all our functions, a percentage of our staff have a security qualification, in the event that these staff members are not onsite at the time of your booking it may be necessary to source additional security at a fee, a fee which will be specified by the events department if applicable

Entertainment

The hotel will not accept any responsibility for any entertainment that has not been booked directly through the hotel. All entertainment must provide their own equipment and accept full responsibil-ity of same

Noise Levels

It is assumed that no exceptional noise levels will be created by an event but if in doubt, organisers must notify the hotel’s events department of the type of event proposed

Weddings – General

If the Absolute Hotel Limerick has not heard from the client, the hotel may treat a provisional booking as having been cancelled & reserves the right to release any space holding

The hotel reserves the right to return any deposit for a wedding if it decides not to accept a booking within two weeks of receipt of deposit by the hotel & until the client has received writ-ten confirmation of the booking from the hotel

The hotel must be supplied with the family home address & telephone number of the bride & groom

Terms & Conditions The hotel reserves the right to refund deposits in circumstances where a booking is made by a

third party or under false pretences

Please note there are a minimum number of guests required for the packages and this is the minimum number of guests which will be charged for on the day of your wedding, even if your numbers fall below the minimum. Minimum numbers are currently 50 adults unless agreed in writing with the hotel

If any dispute arises as to the number of those who attend the wedding, the Absolute Hotel Limerick shall determine the number and such determination shall be final & binding to the parties

The client agrees that the Absolute Hotel Limerick may accept any verbal amendments to the arrangements given during the course of their wedding by the client or by anyone acting or pur-porting to act on the clients behalf & the client agrees to pay for any additional service provided

The client undertakes to begin the wedding reception at the agreed time & to ensure that its guest’s invitees & other persons vacate the function room at the agreed hour indicated

The client undertakes not to bring beverages or food of any kind into the Absolute Hotel, Limerick & not to cause or permit its guests or invitees to do so

The client assumes responsibility for any damage caused by him or any of his guests, invitees or other persons attending the wedding reception, whether in rooms reserved or in any other part of the Absolute Hotel, Limerick, & undertakes to make good or pay full restitution for the making good of any material damage to furniture, fixtures & equipment used by them. Nothing shall be affixed to the floors, walls, ceilings or columns of the allocated room by nails, screws, drawing pins, tape or any other means or be suspended from the roof or ceiling of the room

No advertisement, notice, signs, decoration, flag, emblem or device referring to the wedding reception may be attached to or displayed in or about the interior of the Absolute Hotel, Limerick without advance consent by the Absolute Hotel, Limerick

The client undertakes to conduct the wedding reception in an orderly manner & in full compli-ance with the rules of the Absolute Hotel, Limerick management & with all applicable legislation

Under the Fire Precautions Act, the Rules of Conduct in force with regard to the management of places of entertainment licenced by the Limerick City Council ‘the means of escape provided for all persons on the premises shall be maintained, unobstructed & immediately available’

If for any reason beyond its control the Absolute Hotel, Limerick fails to make available the rooms reserved for the client or to provide any of the agreed goods or services, the Absolute Hotel Limerick shall not be liable for any resulting loss or damage suffered by the client, and, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the Absolute Hotel Limerick shall in no event be liable for any loss or damage caused by labour disputes, power failure, government regulations or act of god.

Terms & Conditions The Absolute Hotel Limerick reserves the right at all times to alter or change the function

rooms or accommodation to be provided to the client for the purpose of the function, provided that such alteration of change does not materially & adversely affect the function

The Absolute Hotel Limerick shall in no event be obliged or responsible for providing facilities, catering or accommodation for persons attending the wedding reception in excess of twenty persons above that number notified to the Absolute Hotel Limerick

The Absolute Hotel Limerick will try whenever possible to assist with storage of equipment & personal property including wedding cakes. However, the hotel accepts no liability for any dam-age or loss to this property. We regret that cards & gifts cannot be stored by the hotel reception. Items referring to the wedding reception will be held for up to 2 working days after the wedding reception has taken place , should the client not collect such items before this date the Absolute Hotel Limerick will dispose of said items without notice to the client

The Absolute Hotel Limerick reserves the right to cancel any function it sees might prejudice the reputation of the hotel, the Absolute Hotel Limerick will refund any advance payments but will have no further liability to the client

Where the client requests the hotel to arrange for the provision by third parties of good & ser-vices on the client’s behalf, the hotel shall do so as the client’s agent & the client shall be liable for all charges & liabilities in respect thereof.

With reference to brand protection the Absolute Hotel Limerick shall grant a limited royalty free licence for the use of the brand & marks subject to prior written approval by the Absolute Hotel Limerick for use in printed media only. Use of the brand & marks is strictly prohibited in con-nection with any radio, television or internet marketing or advertising. The hotel reserves the right to terminate this agreement on 10 days’ notice on any breach of this clause
