I can’t form a team of six, how else can I help? You can still participate even if you don't have a full team.   Go to bbbsba.org/bowl and click on your preferred venue/location. I need some quick ideas on how to fundraise.  Any suggestions? Here are a couple of our favorite tips:

• Use Social Media:  Post on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.

◦ In just a few words, tell your story and share why you ◦ support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area

◦ Ask for donations

◦ Let your friends know how far you are from hitting your goal

◦ Thank your donors publicly  (This is a sure way to encourage others to donate!)

• Ask about company matches:  Many companies will match an employee’s contribution to a charity.  Ask your HR Director or supervisor if your company will make a donation to your team or match your personal contribution.

• Enlist different offices or working groups at your company to compete to meet their fundraising goals:  Friendly competition is fun for the whole office, is a great team building opportunity, and makes fundraising easier when you let potential donors know you they are helping you AND Big Brother Big Sisters to win!

• Plan a small fundraiser:  Many teams host fundraisers and invite their friends, family or coworkers.  Examples include: happy hours, trivia nights, garage or bake sales, office jeans day and even selling ice cream sundaes or breakfast burritos at work.
