approach to her GCSE spoken language award.
Michael Phillips Cup HATTIE Outstanding commitment to swimming within and
beyond school. Very highly ranked within Lancashire.
Helen Driver Award for Performing Arts MEEKA A stunning singer songwriter who has really grown in
confidence recently.
John Bolton Memorial cup WILL A long distance enthusiast who excels in this field both
within and beyond school.
Crossley Prize for Netball SAFFRON
An excellent captain, Saffron has shown fantastic
commitment and leadership to the school netball
team.
Crossley Prize for Football HARVEY
A stand-out footballer in the Year group who has also
been selected to represent the Ribble Valley town
team based on his performances for Bowland. Harvey
has recently been on trial with Blackburn Rovers and
has since been signed by Accrington Stanley FC.
Louise Hartley Cup for School Council GRACE
For contentiously undertaking her duties as a
member of the School Council Executive. She
prepared for and attended all meetings, supported
events and contributed to whole school assemblies.
Furthermore, Grace has grown in confidence as she
has made this excellent contribution to the successful
running of the school council.
Elizabeth Hodbod Merit Award HARRIET For gaining the most society points in the school.

BE-U Challenge Days
Inspired by Sport Challenge Day is an opportunity to take on a series of physical activity challenges and compete for your form by completing as many tasks as possible as a collective group. At the same time, you are also competing against the others within your form and to get overall victory in the competition. There are 11 challenges to choose from, including; juggling, bottle flipping, press up and plank challenge as well as the opportunity to show off your special talents in the "no limits" challenge.

Although all BE-U trips were cancelled we still wanted pupils to have a variety of different experiences. The different departments set their challenges and below you can see some of

Humanities Challenges The humanities challenges were designed and created to allow the pupils to learn about a variety of different topics with the humanities curriculum. The activities ranged from tornado's in a jar, virtual museum tours, creating historical figures out of eggs, or solving an Apollo 13 ‘big problem’.

make a very realistic model or prototype of it using Lego or recyclable materials such as: cardboard, plastic
