McAuley Fine Arts Department Chairperson and art teacher Mrs. Kathy Gordon Davis, who is known to many businesses, schools, and individuals as an esteemed artist in the Chicago-land area, once again is offering Art Camp – a favorite experience among many young students! The camp encompasses two weeks of fun, creativity, and adventures in art. Through a variety of practice activities, individualized instruction, and creative projects, campers will develop drawing, painting, and sculpting skills and techniques.

Become a star this summer! Mrs. Julie McKee and Mrs. Carrie Alifantis are the Directors of this summer’s “Curtain Call” theatre camp. The dynamic duo brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge. Julie McKee is the Director of A Cappella Chorus, Hidden Talents and the McAuley All-School Musical. Carrie Alifantis is a professional actress and singer, Director of Mac Melody and Music Director of the All-School Musical. These two, along with a talented staff will work with campers for two weeks to teach singing, dancing and acting. Campers will learn different disciplines to successfully participate in the performances of Shrek Jr. and The Jungle Book at the end of the two weeks.

With a classes including MSI McAuley, Engineering Marvels, Moving and Grooving and Magic Potions you’ll learn how you use chemistry, biology and physics in your life and above all have fun!

Creative Writing $80 July 20-23 10:00 am - 12:00 pm 4th-8th gr

Participate in a variety of creative writing activities using iPad technology designed for girls who love to write. Mr. Patrick Sullivan, a McAuley English and Theatre teacher will encourage your love of the written word, or in this case, the electronic word.
