But it’s always been the personal stories of success from our children in the Boys and Girls Club that I nd the most compelling. Its the stories of parents lining up at 4 a.m. in order to gain one of the precious few spots during the enrollment process each year. It’s the 11 year old who is struggling in school that nds a wonderful place to grow and mature and begins to earn good grades and the condence that follows such success. It’s the 8 year old that graduates from high school, goes to college, and believes that Boys and Girls Club helped her do so. We support the Boys and Girls Club not because it’s the right thing to do. We support the Boys and Girls Club because it denes who and what Statesboro is about.” bgcbulloch.org THE FOUNDERS OF 100% of your donation stays in Bulloch County. INVEST TODAY! Darin VanTassell Bryan R. Burke “We did a great deal of homework before we brought the Boys & Girls Club of America to Statesboro, GA over fteen years ago. I remember visiting several clubs around the state beforehand with David & Fayebeth Ball, Jack Wilson, Darin Van Tassell, Bruce Yawn, and others. We all wanted to make sure we did everything right for the kids. Looking back, I know it was such a great decision for the children of our community. The Boys & Girls Club leadership, volunteers, and parents have given several thousand participants a chance to better themselves in life, in school and socially. I think that is what is all about...giving our kids a chance to improve themselves.”
