November 2006“MCE Deepwater Development 2007” - March 27-29, London
BP is delighted to be hosting “MCE Deepwater Development 2007” in London. We
hope that this venue will enable more delegates to attend than ever before.
This event, as in previous years, will provide a great opportunity for people involved in
deepwater projects and operations to discover the latest technologies, trends and
techniques that the industry has to offer. It will also afford individual contractors and
vendors the opportunity to demonstrate their latest wares and capabilities.
For BP, it allows us to enhance our position in the offshore industry, showing our
commitment to further the safe and clean development of oil and gas in deepwater
environments through technology and commercial advances. It will give us an
opportunity to strengthen and develop relationships throughout the supply chain, with
industry partners, other operators and host governments.
We hope that you and other readers of this letter will be encouraged to attend.
Yours sincerely,
Paul ToomsHead of Discipline: Subsea

Audience Response System at MCE DD Conference
The 2007 MCEDD technical program will offer the ability for all thosein attendance to offer direct, instant feedback using the latest in wire-less technology. Each conference delegate will have a ‘responder’which will allow one to instantly transmit their assessment on aspectsof the technical program.
For 2007 the technical program will include a number of roundtablesmoderated by leading Operators. The system which is sponsored byTechnip will allow those in the audience to offer their direct feedbackto questions and opinions posed by the Moderators, as well as otherDelegates.
We all know that it can be very difficult to solicit direct response from the audience. However, when direct feedback is given, it always brings issues to the table that trulyneed to be discussed. The new technology will allow all to express their opinions, as wellas solutions, and view the results instantly. This system was used in a pilot at DeepGulf inHouston last year and did prove to support more lively, very interactive and some veryexciting sessions.
