MESSAGE FROM THE ACTING PRINCIPALWelcome back after the July holidays, I hope everyone had some time to rest.
• The third term will, as in the past, be a very busy term. The prefects visited the Old Age home on the 23rd of July in honour of Mandela Day. The elderly thoroughly enjoyed the company of our children and the eats that were pro-vided. This helps to instil in our children the sense of sharing and community.
• On Friday, 25 July 2014, we will be hosting our Annual Inter House Athletics. (It would be greatly appreciated if parents are able to attend and show sup-port for our aspiring athletes of the future.) Further information will be on the communicator.
• Please drive carefully when you pick up or drop your child. The traffic conges-tion during these hours is immense but we need to exercise patience, putting the safety of our children first. We are currently in discussions trying to come up with a solution in order to alleviate the traffic congestion at these specific times.
• A few words of thanks to the staff who took the time during the holidays to prepare for their lessons for the third term, as well to our general assistants for having our fields maintained and marked for the sporting events ahead.
• Thank you again for the support and positive feedback we receive from our parents, it means a great deal to the staff at BPS.
Best regards, Mr Leon Botha
