ART AUCTION CANCELLED The Bryanston Fundraising Committee regrets to announce that the Art Auction at the Barnyard, Rivonia, that was scheduled for tonight (2 nd October 2014) has been cancelled due to insufficient bookings. The Barnyard portion of the fundraiser will be rescheduled to a date in the first term of next year, and the art produced by all the grades will be auctioned at a later date this year. Both dates will be advised in due course. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS SCHOOL CLOSING TIMES – LAST DAY OF TERM 3 OCTOBER Foundation Phase: 11:00am Intersen and Senior Phase: 11:30am TRAVELLING BOOKSHIP Travelling bookshop will be selling quality books at low prices from 20 – 22 October in the AV room. CONDOLENCES Condolences to Mrs Britz on the loss of her mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and the family at this time. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The General Meeting will be held in the school hall on Tuesday, 21st October 2014, at 18H30. Please note if a quorum is not reached, the follow up meeting will be held on Thursday 30th October 2014 at 18H30 The Annual Report will be presented by Ms Grant, Chairperson of the School Gov- erning Body. Mr Dodge, the Treasurer, will be tabling a financial report. The budget and proposed school fees for 2015 will also be presented. In the interest of time and the orderly running of the meeting, all points or questions to be raised must be submitted, in writing, by no later than Tuesday 14th October 2014 for inclusion in the various reports. Please submit items which you would likediscussed/answered on the form distrib- uted to your children this week. Please also indicate if you will be able to attend the meeting. This form can be handed in directly to reception or your child’s class educator. Finally we urge all parents to make use of this forum to express their opinions and to vote for the proposed percentage fee increase. The school values parental involvement and input!

    SPORTS NEWSGYMNASTICSCongratulations to Gabi Salver who competed in the Provincial Gauteng Gymnastics Level 5 Championships on the 19th September.

    Gabi won gold on all four apparatus and received overall 1st place. She will be competing in the Nationals in Cape Town on the 9th of October.
