NANCY SHORT MINTON AWARD
NANCY WAS A KIND AND GIVING PERSON, WHO MADE A LASTING IMPRESSION ON EVERYONE SHE MET. HER SMILE, LAUGH, AND CHEERY DISPOSITION WOULD BRIGHTEEN UP THE DAY OF THOSE SHE WAS AROUND. NANCY SERVED AS A DIRECTOR OF THE MADISON COUNTY FAIR AND HORSE SHOW AND WAS INVOLVED IN ALL THE PLEASURE AND WALKING HORSE SHOWS. SHE WAS ACTIVE STATEWIDE IN TTHE WALKING HORSE COMMUNITY, SERVING AS DIRECTOR OF THE BLUEGRASS PLEASURE AND WALKING HORSE ASSOCIATIONAND FORMER SECRETARY OF THE LADIES AUXILARY OF THE KENTUCKY WALKING HORSE ASSOCIATION. IN ADDITION TO SHOWWING HORSES SHE TABULATED THE RESULTS OF HORSE SHOWS IN KENTUCKY AND SURROUNDING STATES. THE BPWHA ANNUALLY AWARDS THIS HONOR IN NANCY'S HONOR TO A PERSON WHO MADE EVERY EFFORT TO SUPPORT OUR ORGANIZATION AS WELL AS THE TENNESSEE WALKING HORSE AS NANCY DID HER ENTIRE LUFE. THE WINNER FOR 2016 IS CHUCK & DONNA BRAY FOR THEIR EFFORTS GOING BACK TO 2009 WHEN OUR ORGANIZATION WAS FIRST FOUNDED.

BPWHA High Points Program You must be a member in good standing by June 30, 2016 to be eligible to participate in the high
points program. We will award 36 high point awards based on the 36 classes that are on our
regular class sheet. Points will be awarded accoerding to the following criteria.
First Place - 10 points
Second Place - 9 points Third Place - 8 points
Fourth place - 7 points Fifth Place - 6 point
We will award Champion and Reserve Champion
awards for each category. The awards will be presented at our annual banquet in early 2017.
