Steeped in history, with dramatic architecture and lavish decor,

all set within 50 acres of parkland, Bradley

Bradley House is the historic family Home of the Dukes of Somerset.

The land was given by King Henry VIII in 1547 to honour his 3rd wife,

Jane Seymour, the mother of his male heir, the future King Edward VI. Jane’s brother,

Edward, was created 1st Duke of Somerset and Lord Protector

of the Realm for his services as soldier, diplomat and brother-in-law.

Edward Seymour’s brother, Thomas, was Lord High Admiral

and married Catherine Parr after King Henry’s death in 1547.

The house became available to hire in 2008, opening its doors to a

new generation of pleasure-seekers. The House retains many historical

and artistic heirlooms from the family’s past adventures.

Bradley House is surrounded by 50

acres of beautiful parkland in an area

of outstanding natural beauty.

Guests are welcome to spend lazy afternoons wandering the

gardens, explore deep into the acres of mature

woodland or simply sit and enjoy relaxing by the heated pool.

In the coach house, discover the lovingly

welcome lounge bar and dance room.

For the more adventurous take part in some on site

clay pigeon shooting or organised 4x4 off road.

Whatever you decide there are endless opportunities

Bradley House’s rich history and heritage of entertaining, coupled with

stunning grounds, mean it is a perfect venue for the most

From intimate gatherings with family and close friends to

lavish receptions and marquees in the grounds, a wedding at

Bradley House is truly memorable.

We understand that food on your special

day is one of the most important aspects. At Bradley House all catering is carried out by experienced wedding caterers Eat5star.

They provide guests with a professional team who have worked at many events across the South of England and are exclusive caterers to The Duke and Duchess of Somerset.

Eat5star offer menus that reflect the season using locally sourced produce wherever possible. However, if there is a particular dish that you have in mind and it is not featured on our menus please do speak with your wedding co-ordinator.

With the choice of exclusive use, at Bradley House you really can be Lord and Lady of the Manor with complete privacy for you and your guests. Or simply hire the grounds for the day.

Licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 80 people and up to 200 guests for your wedding breakfast in a marquee.

With 12 beautiful bedrooms, host the whole day at Bradley House and continue the celebrations with your guests the following morning over a leisurely breakfast.

You will have the full support of our dedicated Wedding Coordinator and we can act as toastmaster on the day to ensure it runs just as planned.

With special accommodation rates and ample free parking on site, your guests can completely relax into the evening.
