Brand GuidelinesVersion 1 | Presented July 2020

Brand guidelines provide direction for using brand elements in a consistent manner. These elements

might include logos, fonts, colors, and other visuals that may combine to create representations of the

Holistic Producer Development Cooperative in advertisements, promotional materials, and other means

of communicationa and representation through both analog [print] and digital [web] applications.

These guidelines not only assure consistency internally, but for external audiences as well—partnering

organizations, vendors used in the production of marketing materials, and other individuals or groups

who may not already be familiar with your brand. By establishing these guidelines early and adhering

to the direction therein, you are ensuring the brand for HPDC is a visually coherent and recognizable

entity for your team, your partners, and you current and future audiences.

While these guidelines are meant to cover a majority of the usage questions or clarification necessary, there

may be instances that are not included within this document. Please consult with the appropriate marketing

team member or agency with any questions.

While the face of land ownership continues to change, we believe

that by working together with the next generation of landowners,

we can accomplish a mutually beneficial way to optimize ecological,

economical, and societal impacts of agricultural production.

The Holistic Producer Development Co-op has been created by a

progressive group of regenerative and holistically-minded small family

farmers, operating in a way that not only delivers competitive market

returns to landowners, but also optimizes the positive ecological and

other positive effects of grazing and agricultural production.

LOGOAvailable in full color and one color versions.

DO:• Use logo files provided in the final brand

deliverables folder or recreate a logo using the

native working file (.EPS or .AI).

• Maintain space around the logo when placing it

next to other elements.

• Maintain proportions and the correct aspect ratio

[height:width] when resizing your logo.

DO NOT:• Change, resize, or remove elements.

• Stretch or squeeze to fit certain dimensions.

• Place the logo against a photo or pattern that

renders it illegible.

• Add drop shadows or other effects.

• Change colors outside the approved palette.

Holistic Producer Development Cooperative’s logo is a full mark including an icon and wordmark, as well as an associated tagline or chapter name where applicable.

This main logo will be used across primary brand applications. This will help the main brand become easily identifiable as chapters utilize the mark in promotional materials, websites, ads, and more.

A NOTE ABOUT SPACING

To ensure legibility, always maintain a minimum amount of

clear or negative space (also known as ‘padding’) around the

logo. This space allows adequate presentation of the logo when

combined with other graphic elements.

This spacing should be roughly the height of the “H” in the logo

itself, but more is always encouraged where possible.

CHAPTER LOGO GENERATIONPlease review the following directions for generating a new chapter logo for HPDC.

Any affiliated chapter should have a chapter logo that has been generated using the main HPDC template provided by an organization representative. This logo should be generated using a native .EPS file within a program that recognizes that file type. Any new logo files generated should also be created utilizing this same file.

Please adhere to these guidelines when preparing your individual chapter’s logo mark. Usage of the main Holistic Producer Development Cooperative logo is always available to individual chapters so long as it follows appropriate usage guidelines.

Individual chapter logo and affiliate marks will follow these same standards.

You will need:

1. A program that recognizes the .EPS file type. (Most commonly Adobe Creative Suite.)

2. Gill Sans installed as as font.

Please contact a representative with any questions.

1. Open “HolisticProducerDevelopmentCoop_Logo_ForChapterUse.eps”.*You will need the Gill Sans font previously installed on your computer.

2. All elements aside from the name will be locked to ensure they are notaccidentally modified. Replace “Chapter Name Here” with the name of your chapter, using all lower case on your keyboard. The formatting and align-ment are pre-set.

3. To access the icon and word mark to change colors, simply un-lock those elements using your “Layers” panel. (See image for reference.)

4. To save out .PNG, .EPS, .SVG, or .PDF versions of your new chapter logo:File > Export > Export for Screens...

5. Select your file location using the folder icon, and choose your desiredformat from the drop-down menu to the bottom right. (See image for reference.)

The chapter name is placed to the top right of the word mark, set in Gill Sans Semibold, all caps (tracking +100).

The tagline and chapter name are never presented in the same mark.

Changing the chapter name with layers panel.

Exporting new chapter files using “Export for Screens...”.
