The Brazilianpopulation started growing and a stable community was created. Now,more Brazilians are not just to stay for a few months or years, but tosettle here and make the United States their home.

According to IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), 2.5 million Brazilians between 20 and 44 years of age is not living in Brazil. By projection, half of this universe, about 1.25 million, is living in the United States of America, which has the greatest concentration of Brazilians in the world.

Florida is the most popular destination for Brazilians coming to the U.S., accounting for 22% of the total Brazilian population in this country. It is followed by Massachusetts (17%), California (11%), New York (10%), and New Jersey (10%).
