About Brazilian Voices Brazilian Voices, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, is a women’s vocal ensemble that performs for cultural, charitable and educational purposes. Brazilian Voices aspires to showcase the best of Brazilian culture throughout the world, stimulating social change by nurturing multicultural exchange and social integration through music appreciation and education. To achieve its mission, Brazilian Voices offers four programs. Concerts & Performances

Aiming to promote and preserve the diverse Brazilian cultural heritage, Brazilian Voices regularly performs at various cultural and philanthropic events, as well as in concert at large and small venues.

During the past 10 years, such performances have reached thousands of people in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. The goal of Brazilian Voices is to continue to give its annual gala concert, along with appearing at philanthropic and community oriented events, including private small venue performances.

 

Cultural & Educational

Utilizing the powerful media of music, song, dance and theater, this program is perform at schools, museums and in other educational settings, sharing Brazil’s rich history, geography, language, and contemporary developments.

This program was launched in 2007 and has been presented to more than four thousand children from public schools. Our current goal is to increase the number of performances in order to better reach the diverse populations in South Florida.

Arts & Healing

Recognizing the natural healing power of music, members of Brazilian Voices bring the energy of their voices and music to local hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, and support centers for cancer patients. This program was launched in 2008 with the support of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.  

Since its inception, Brazilian Voices has conducted musical presentations at Broward General Hospital, Gilda's Club, Covenant Village in Broward, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Holy Cross Cancer Center, Cleveland Clinic Florida, Mount Sinai Cancer Center and at Women in Distress, among others.

Customized Performances

To meet the growing demand for performances designed to entertain at private gatherings, weddings, conferences, and corporate events, Brazilian Voices has assembled customized formations of 6, 8 and 14 voices selected from our original group of 40 singers, accompanied by a jazz trio or quartet.

As a non-profit organization, the group relies on sponsorships and

donations.

Brazilian Musical Group in the USA, Brazilian Voices has released 7 CDs and performed widely for 13 years, including in Barcelona,

Madrid, Mexico, New York and London among others, in addition to almost 400 performances

in South Florida.
