1. What does it mean to be part of

AIESEC and Global Community

Development

Program?

An AIESEC Exchange Program is a practical working and learning experience for the

Trainees to develop their competencies of Global Mind-set, Entrepreneurial Outlook,

Social Responsibility, Emotional Intelligence and

Proactive Learning in a foreign cultural environment.

The Global Community Development Program gives you: A positive learning experience; Interaction with a different social and cultural environment

with a view to gaining intercultural competencies; Development of theoretical and practical leadership skills; Opportunity to apply personal and professional skills,

knowledge, attitudes and values to work for the organisation as well as the host communities;

Develop awareness and knowledge of social issues and different practices of the sending and hosting country;

Opportunity to contribute to personal and professional life goals.

A Global Community Development Program (GCDP) experience is an opportunity for Trainee to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership by creating direct positive impact through an international volunteer experience.

2. Right after the MATCH

What is MATCH?

Match phase means that you passed selection board and we

are glad to welcome you in our country!

After you get match, it’s time to arrange the documents:

Exchange Participant Acceptance Note (example p. 12) Company/Organisation Acceptance Note (example p. 13)

Invitation letter (example p. 15)

The Acceptance Note is official document contained in the appendices of

the Exchange Program Policies. The Acceptance Note form contains the final

conditions of the particular exchange as agreed by all involved parties.

Exchanging Acceptance Notes we conclude a treaty

between Trainee and AIESEC Czech Republic.

After exchanging ANs Organization should provide Trainee with all

documents he needs for visa, inform about accommodation during the

exchande and change status on myaiesec.net.

It’s forbidden for Trainee to sign AN with other organizations

during 10 days.

In the case that Trainee will break the match he will pay penalty – 175 USD.

Examples of breaking match: trainee is unable to fulfill his

exchange job role as specified in the TN form, the EP is breaking a law of the hosting country or is continuously breaking internal regulations of the organisation despite being warned or aware of them.

you contact person who is responsible for comunication with you. TN form Example you can find on page 16

3. Visa services After it you have to check visa requirement and apply for visa if

you have to (you can check it on the page 10-11)

Invitation letter

Fee (usually price is 30€)

4. Pre-arrival services

Before you’ll come to the Czech Republic you have to:

Prepare materials for presentations (depends on project)

Inform us about your arrival time and station

Fill Welcome to the Czech republic form

Stay in touch!

Don’t forget to exchange the phone numbers with the

person who’ll pick up you in the airport/ railway station!

5. Realization

When you came to Czech Republic you have 1 week for

adaptation, acquaintance with other trainees/ host family and finish

preparations for the lessons.

During this week you will get to know some basic information

about CR, get sim card for your mobile and ticket for public

transport, get to know how to get to AIESEC office and other places.

Also we provide “Train the

Trainees” first week, where you’ll get all

knowledge you need for next 5 weeks.

You will discuss there your classes,

students, materials for lessons, cultural

deference and other topics you will be

interested in.

Then you’ll have 5 workweeks (free weekends) and when you

have to fulfill your Job Description (depends on project)

We provide:

Internet access

Free accommodation (host family, dorms, interns flat)

Access to AIESEC offices

We DON’T provide:

Food

Travel expenses

Own laptop is obligatory!

6. Debriefing and NPS In the end of 2

nd and 4

th week we make debriefing to

discuss problems and share our successes.

During these debriefings we discuss talk about you lessons and life in

CR, about your students, we try to solve problems and also it’s about

sharing your impressions!

It helps us to draw a conclusion about your exchange experience, to

understand your problems and we get to know what should we improve and

what works really good. It let us to rejoice our common successes

Also we would like to ask you to fill management tool that we

use to gauge your loyalty to AIESEC in Czech Republic –

NPS – Net Promote Score

- Promoters – loyal customers; Promoters drive company growth - Passives – customers who are satisfied, but could be lured by the

competition easily; Passives are not enthused about your company - Detractors – your unhappy customers who are detrimental to business

growth as they spread negative word-of-mouth

It helps us to understand the situation and see our faults and successes so we can improve our work!

Name´s visit to Prague is his participation in the cultural project called SPEAK! held by AIESEC

Praha in the Czech Republic. SPEAK! is the project organized to bring together university students

from abroad and Czech high school students with a purpose of inter-cultural education and

comparison of other countries to the Czech Republic including economic, social and cultural

aspects of countries in question. This project will take place in Prague.

to deliver trainings, workshops and presentations at high schools in Prague about China

to lead discussions with high-school students about China and its culture in comparison to reality in the Czech Republic at several high schools in Prague

to discuss social issues of China and Europe with high school students
