    Clampin" Tools

/, Before clamping on a tool+ make sure that the torque control

valve and optional independent clamp controls are backed offall the way,

1, Take into consideration the wall thickness of the tool and area

    to be clamped on,

2, (nce it is determined to be safe+ be sure to clamp headstockend first,

0, !osition tailstock where it needs to be to clamp onto tool,

5, Adust torque cylinders either in make or break position

depending on the operation needed to be performed,

, $lamp tailstock cylinders and proceed with make or break

    torque procedure,

    Clampin" Tools

    NOTE

Chen clamping tools that are made of harder materials+ be sure

to adust the clamp pressure via the torque control valve+ or

independent clamp control valve+ higher than the actual make up

or break out torque, This will ensure the tong dies are well set

into the tool+ eliminating slippage and tool damage, Be sure toback out valve>s? when finished,
