• He did not allow people to speak against the government

Totalitarianism Controlled the citizens

• the citizens everyday life was controlled by the government

Did not allow critics• Stalin did not allow anyone at all to speak

against the government without a consequence

Nationalism• Totalitarian states glorified there country to

an extreme.
