11. Conclusion

Hello, I'm Embracing, a Nidalee enthusiast. I was once Diamond II in Season 3 in the 2nd Chinese server (),

and I took a long break in between, playing normals with friends. Currently, I'm playing in NA and have been

hovering around Diamond V and Diamond IV. Although my current rank may not be the highest, I've played with

high Diamonds, Masters, and Challengers regularly a while back, so do have faith in my knowledge about

Nidalee!

Back in the late season 3 when assassins were prevalent in mid lane, I found myself really enjoying AP Nidalee

mid, before she was reworked. I climbed from D5 to high D2 by spamming a lot of Nidalee. Little did I know

Nidalee would soon become FOTM in season 4, where she was then a pick/ban priority and eventually reworked.

She then had her phase of being OP as a bruiser and eventually nerfed and unseen for a while. After a few buffs to

her kit, she currently stands as a very strong jungler and a slightly weak mid laner. She can also be played top lane

as a bruiser or mage (this guide will only cover AP aspects).

I created this guide in attempt to provide an accurate way to playing Nidalee optimally. Hopefully this guide can

help or teach you a few things about Nidalee that you can apply to your gameplay.

+ Safe early game with good sustain

+ Mobile: very potent roams

+ Great poke with potent heals

+ High burst skill rotation

+ Reliable gap-close with passive

Nidalee has an extremely safe early game combined with

a very strong mid game. She has some of the best synergy

with vision control and can really pressure enemies hard

with her roams. She also helps with sieges extremely well.

Nidalee can easily impact the whole map early to mid

game.

- Unreliable trading mechanic

- Squishy and vulnerable to CC

- Costly to siege w/o blue buff

- Melee waveclear

- Inconsistent ranged damage

Nidalee has a very unique kit in the sense that she only

has one key ranged damage spell, her spear, which is a

skillshot that's hard to land when face-to-face. This means

that she has an extremely hard time trading in lane and

that she cannot teamfight well, although her mobility

allows her to cleanup relatively well. Sieging and poking

becomes a necessity to playing with a Nidalee and she

doesn't fare well if enemies are able to initiate.

FLASH Core for escaping, diving, etc

TELEPORT

For top lane to establish an advantage over the map either through minion manipulation,

which can set behind the enemy laner / let you roam easily, or teleporting bottom for

counter ganks / ganks.

IGNITE Adds in more kill potential in lane and helps to cleanup enemies.

SMITE For jungling. Buff control and objective control is essential to a jungler.

The rune setup for Nidalee is basically that of a typical mid laner / AP top laner.

RUNE EXPLANATION

Nidalee has a pretty straightforward rune setup that's similar to any other typical mage for mid, although her

top lane page and jungle page spec into hybrid damage for autoattack harass in top lane and a safer and faster

clear in the jungle.

The mid, top, and jungle pages are all pretty consistent with the season 5 masteries.

Jungle

Sorcery for more damage, and Double-Edged Sword for more potent ganks. Savagery for a better clear,

Runic Affinity for better efficiency with buffs, Merciless for more damage, Dangerous Game for close

fights, Precision for more damage, and Thunderlord's Decree for more burst. Recovery for more regen, and Tough Skin for a better early clear. 12/18/0 is also a viable option, but the extra 6 points in the Ferocity

tree really doesn't provide that much extra damage / sustain, while the 6 points in Resolve can help a lot with your

initial clear.

Mid / Top

Sorcery for more damage, Feast for more lane sustain, Natural Talent for more damage, and Bounty

Stash for better sustain, Merciless for more damage, Dangerous Game for close fights, Precision for more

damage, and Thunderlord's Decree for more burst.

Mana

Regen

As a typical mage your first item will want to be one that can provide a consistent amount of mana regen

and damage, so you have enough kill pressure on enemies and you can farm consistently. If you get a

nice early lead, you can also purchase a Needlessly Large Rod and work on a first damage item

(mentioned in the section below) and purchase the mana item afterwards.

ROD OF

AGES

Cheap components and really cost-efficient stats make this item a great early purchase on

a lot of mages. The flat health, mana, and extra AP help greatly in engages, sustaining in

lane, and scaling into mid game. I typically always buy RoA now given how cost-efficient it

is, but if it ever gets nerfed go back to Morello's / Athene's.

ATHENE'S

UNHOLY

GRAIL

The safer mana regen CDR item, Athene's provides more magic resistance, which helps

against bursty laners like Ahri or LeBlanc that have very high kill potential on you. It

gives you less damage than Morellonomicon, but it's a safer option.

MORELLONOMICON

The more aggressive and standard purchase of the two mana regen CDR items, Morello's

gives slightly more AP and a nice passive that reduces the effectiveness of enemy heals. Inmost situations where you aren't as afraid of the enemy laner you'll want to buy this item,

as its passive and slight AP boost is more useful than what Athene's gives.

FROST

QUEEN'S

CLAIM

This item is way too cost efficient for regaining gold and providing stats right now. I'm fully

expecting nerfs to this item. It's a great first-item purchase and the active really synergizes

with Nidalee's kit as the scouting allows you to hunt enemies down and the slow

passive helps ensure you land your spears.

Next you'll want to buy a big item that gives you more damage because of how able you are in farming

with sustain in mana regeneration. The items that are most effective in this scenario are Rabadon's

Deathcap and Zhonya's Hourglass. If you're set heavily behind, you can also buy Void Staff as a

budget purchase after your first AP purchase. Or else, you'll typically want to buy Void Staff fourth,

after your two "big AP" purchases. You'll then want to buy the other "big ap purchase" that you didn't

buy last, or fit in a situational item.

RABADON'S

DEATHCAP

Rabadon's Deathcap is the item that gives the most straight-up AP in the game.

Because of how mid game power spikes work for mid lane mages, this item gives a massive

boost to damage potential.

ZHONYA'S

HOURGLASS

Zhonya's Hourglass is the more defensive choice of the big AP items and also a great

playmaking tool. The active allows you to mitigate a lot of potential damage and it also

gives you a slight bit of armor as well. You normally want to buy this against AD laners

and bursty enemies with kill potential or dive potential, but don't think that this is only

defensive - Zhonya's Hourglass is extremely useful in any type of engage as it lets you

consistently initiate if your team is nearby.

VOID

STAFF

This item is most effective against enemies stacking MR. It's very cost efficient for the time

of the game that you need to buy it, as enemies start stacking MR with the completion of

Aegis of the Legion. If you're heavily set back and cannot finish your second big AP item

because of its low cost and effectiveness against MR, this is also a good third purchase.

LUDEN'S

ECHO

The poke damage item greatly increases your damage potential. If you can get this early

on your damage output will be a lot higher because of how frequently you reposition as

Nidalee. However, as the game progresses in mid game, you will do more damage overall

with Rabadon's Deathcap.

RYLAI'S

CRYSTAL

SCEPTER

The buffs to this item made it on par with the other Needlessly Large Rod items. The

slow is extremely beneficial for your human form spears, as if you hit an enemy with one

you can chain with more spears, or your team can follow up for an initiation. Rylai's

Crystal Scepter is a great purchase if your team has enough damage output so you aren't

forced to get more damage.

Other

Items

There aren't many other items to really consider on Nidalee because you want to normally go glass

cannon and maximize her damage output. There are a few choices given the scenario, though.

MEJAI'S

The typical snowball item. You'll want to get this item after your mana regeneration item if

you feel extremely ahead and you want to further your lead. Do note that you cannot die

for this to be effective. If used properly this item can close games extremely quickly. If the

game goes on for an extended period and you end up at full build, omit Lich Bane.

LICH BANE

Lich Bane adds to your overall burst in your skill rotations, and gives you a final boost of

damage. You normally get this if you're ahead and feel confident in your ability to all-in mid

game.

ABYSSAL

SCEPTER

A very defensive early purchase against AP champions that pose a threat to you. The item

helps against AP champions that can force hard trades through CC or range, such as

Azir or Lissandra. It lowers your potential damage but it's a consistent and safe

purchase early on.

Prowl : Moving through brush increases Nidalee's movement speed by 10% for 2 seconds, which

increases to 30% if she is moving toward a visible enemy champion within 5500-range.Hunt : Hitting enemy champions and neutral monsters with Javelin Toss or Bushwhack will mark

them as Hunted for 4 seconds, revealing them. Neutral monsters are also rooted for 2 seconds.

While moving toward Hunted, Nidalee gains Prowl's bonus movement speed and ignores unit

collision. Additionally, Nidalee's first use of Takedown and Pounce against Hunted will have an

empowered effect.

//

The new mechanic for the reworked Nidalee. While the bush movement speed buff remains the same as a

useful tool for chasing and escaping through the jungle, the new mark is what lets Nidalee assassinate people a

lot easier. Essentially, the biggest bonus you get is the reset for your W, which lets you reposition really easily. This

means that you can trade a lot easier in top lane and jump out of action after killing someone relatively split.

Active: Nidalee hurls her javelin forward in a line, dealing magic damage to the first enemy it hits.

After having t raveled 525 units, t he javelin's damage will be increased by 2% per 7.75 unitstraveled, capping at 200% bonus damage (300% total damage) after traveling 1300 units.

Active: Nidalee's next basic attack gains 75-range (200 total range) and is modified to deal magic Q

Nothing for the jungle???? -4

damage. The damage is increased by 1.5% for every 1% of the target's missing health, for a

maximum of 150% bonus damage (250% total damage).

Nidalee's bread and butter - the human active is the oh-so-dreaded spear that chunks off a ton of hp. This is

your only source of ranged damage, and it definitely is for a good reason. What you'll want to do with this spell in

stand-offs is to stand in flank angles where enemies can't see you or engage on you and chunk away. You should

try to vary your position and timing so they don't get used to a certain pattern. To ensure you land spears when in

chases or skirmishes you need to hold onto your spear until you are able to force enemies into a choke point where

they either cannot dodge your spear, or cannot dodge your spear without risking other factors, such as burning

spells, letting your teammates catch up, etc. The spear width is really small, so most of the time you will have to

try to predict where enemies will end up. Noting your own and your teammates positioning while standing in flank

angles is extremely important because if enemies get an initiate while you're in a flank angle you probably will be

fighting a disadvantageous teamfight.

The cougar active on the other hand is a VERY strong execute that is basically why Nidalee is almost an assassin

now. This spell also helps to trade in top lane, and is great to secure objectives with, especially if coupled with

Smite as a jungler.

Active: Nidalee lays a trap at a target location that arms after a very brief delay. When sprung by

an enemy unit, they will take magic damage plus a percentage of their current health over 4

seconds (max. damage 150 vs. monsters). Traps last for 2 minutes.

Active: Nidalee lunges a fixed 375 units in the direction of the cursor, dealing magic damage to

enemies within a 75-radius area around her landing point. Killing a unit will reduce Pounce's

current cooldown to 1.5 second if it's currently higher.

W

The human form active is what helps you scout and escape with. You can use them in choke points or in bushes to

give you information. This aspect of Nidalee's kit is extremely underrated, as most people overlook how

important information can be. Although this spell doesn't pack as much of a punch as it did pre-rework, you

definitely should use the information to your advantage, such as setting up different angles when you know the

enemy is in a different location.

The cougar form active is another key aspect of Nidalee's kit. This ability combined with your passive is what

allows you to be extremely mobile, especially in skirmishes and teamfights. It also helps you greatly for trading in

top lane, as it allows you to use your cougar form abilities without taking too much damage from the enemy laner

or minions. The extended range is also key to killing enemies that you have a mark on.

Active: Nidalee evokes the spirit of the cougar, healing a target allied champion or herself and

granting them bonus attack speed for 7 seconds.

Active: Nidalee claws at enemies in a 180-degree cone in the direction of the cursor, dealing magic

damage to all enemies hit.

E

The human form active is the heal that is essential to a safe laning phase and a safe siege. Because Nidalee

can't trade well, you can use this ability to take some harass for some cs and then heal it back up. Later on, with

blue buff, you can use spam this ability along with your spear in standoffs to force the enemy back, so you can

secure objectives, vision control, and map pressure.

The cougar form active is a short range AOE spell. This ability helps to clear waves when you want to shove, and

it's an important damage source when you jump in on enemies. It's not as impactful as the other spells, but it's a

great source of damage regardless.

Active: Nidalee transforms herself into a cougar, gaining a new set of abilities and melee attacks

(125 range).

Active: Nidalee transforms back into her human form.

R

This ability allows you to transform between human and cougar form, and helps greatly when you level it up,

boosting your other spells. One thing to note about this spell is that when an enemy is marked by Prowl, the

cooldown of this spell resets, meaning that you can immediately transform into cougar and jump in if the

opportunity approaches.

Nidalee, being a champion with a very high mechanical skill ceiling, has numerous tricks and techniques for

better efficiency in damage, jungle clear speed, and general movement. Here's a video that illustrates all the details

listed below.

Advanced Nidalee Mechanics (Animation cancels, po...

Autoattack Resets:

R

>AA

Your R ability is an auto-attack reset, which means that you can auto-attack in oneform, change to the other form, and immediately auto-attack afterwards. This is a

very useful tool in enhancing jungle clear and engaging melee enemies.

Animation Cancels:

Nidalee, like Riven, has a few animation cancels you can utilize to increase the speed of your skill rotation

and overall movement.

Q

>W

Q into W is the most useful animation cancel for Nidalee, whether jungle or

laning. The gist of the technique is that Takedown has a spin around animation

that takes place after the damage is applied to a target which you can cancel by

immediately uing Pounce when the damage is applied. The result is a much faster

skill rotation than compared to a normal Q-->W where you wait out the animation.

This is very useful in the jungle and will definitely speed up your clear speed.

E

>W

E into W is a much more subtle animation cancel. Using Pounce immediatelyafter Swipe will cancel a fraction of Swipe's animation. This doesn't have a lot

of useful but is overall for increasing your jungle clear speed.

Utilizing Pounce:

One aspect of Pounce is its cooldown reset to 1.5 seconds when killing a unit. The cooldown reset applies the

instant your ability kills the unit, so considering travel time of particles, we can pull off some tricks with Pounce.

Q

>W

Utilizing the animation cancelling technique just described above on a low health

target, you can essentially fadeaway hop on a target that you can kill to reset your

Pounce cooldown. This technique is very useful in laning, especially top lane,

where you can avoid taking harass while also getting CS. This is also useful in jungle

to speed up your pathing and clear speed.

Q > W

Using Javelin Toss that will kill a low health target and then immediately changing

form to use Pounce will reset Pounce's cooldown. This is very useful in chasingwhen you have a minion wave nearby or weak camps like Raptors or Wolves that

you can kill with a Javelin Toss.

W

>D

This is very similar to Javelin Toss -> Pounce, but instead of using your Q

you'll use smite to reset your cooldown. The trick is to use Smite to kill a target

the moment your Pounce animation starts. If that proves to be too difficult you

can just Smite while the animation is going through, although your cooldown

reset will be slightly delayed. This is useful for chasing and ganking lanes as jungle

Nidalee.

AA

>W

Autoattacking a target, killing it, and then immediately changing form to pounce in a

direction will reset Pounce's cooldown. Do note that this is the hardest technique

to pull off correctly and doesn't have that many benefits, but it does help you

understand your Pounce cooldown timing a lot better. That being said the

technique can be used to get around the map quicker as jungler and it can be used

to increase general mobility as a laner.

Ah - apologies, I didn't see this

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/brians-nidalee-guide-review 9/13

Role:

First of all, let's clarify what role Nidalee fulfills in a team composition. One big misconception that many have

about Nidalee is that she's just a poke champion. Part of this is true - she is reliant on her ability to land spears

to be effective. However, being able to land spears is a certain portion of playing Nidalee. Given how long of a

gapclose you can get with Prowl and Pounce and how much burst she has in her skill rotation, being able to

identify your kill potential and engaging when ready is much more important. Because of this, Nidalee is

definitely more of an assassin than a poke champion. The core concept of Nidalee is to be able to pick off enemychampions. If you are not in a position to do so, that's when you stay in human form and heal / spear, until you

ready yourself in an aggressive position ready to act.

Power Spikes:

That being said, when exactly are Nidalee's power spikes during the game? Although Nidalee's damage, like

most champions', scales upwards the longer the game goes due to items, as an assassin she has great difficulty

finding picks the later the game drags out due to enemies grouping. She definitely excels in early to mid game,

where she can roam exceptionally and force skirmishes.

Mid Lane:

Nidalee has arguably one of the safest laning phases in mid lane. Although she doesn't pack a lot of damage

output in direct trades (only a spear), her heal and pounce assure that enemies cannot over-harass you if you play

safe. What this means is that you'll be wanting to focus on farming and avoiding harass most of the time. You can

sacrifice cs if it means to avoid getting chunked and just simply wait for your jungler to come. On the occasion that

the lane is shoved up or the minion wave is bouncing, you can move to a flank angle (near brushes) and try to land

a spear to chunk the enemy laner down. However, you definitely do not need to be in a flank angle to land a spear.

In lane you can try to read the enemy's movement and land a spear in between minions, especially since there's a

gap between caster and melee minions that you can abuse, which many people often do not know about. Overall

your main focuses in lane will be to either try to bait enemies to over-reach past minion waves and outtrade them

by landing a spear and following up with your cougar form actives, or to try to play the minions and roam when the

lane is shoved up, so that you'll miss a minimal amount of cs.

FLANK ANGLE EXAMPLE

After the laning phase, as mid Nidalee most of the time you'll want to be pressuring objectives. You can use the

information on the map (position of the enemies, available objectives) to pressure an objective or force a siege /

picks. This is why Nidalee synergises with vision control so well - you can zone out / harass enemies mid

rotations with your spears and force an objective that you enemies will have a lower chance of contesting.

Top Lane:

In top lane, on the other hand, Nidalee has a really decent laning phases against squishy champions with low

sustain or enemies with low damage output. Nidalee has a lot of kill pressure in lane, especially because she has

access to essentially seven abilities at level 3, due to the transformation. Also, because of how her cougar form

abilities have such a low cooldown, you can essentially poke in human form, pounce in cougar form, swap back to

human form after trading, and jump back to cougar form to trade again. This change of pace will most times

surprise the enemy because they do not expect you to be engaging in extended trades. Due note that top lane AP

Nidalee doesn't fit the meta of tanky tops too well. She is a very niche choice and that might hinder your team

composition. If your team composition is needing of a tank, you can play AD bruiser Nidalee top lane, which

excels in split pushing and can soak up more damage in fights.

After laning phase, you'll either want to do the same as mid Nidalee by pressuring objectives, or you'll want to

splitpush and roam around the enemy top jungle. You can easily establish vision control over their top side jungle if

ahead and pressure the enemies so they either let you get an objective or send people to stop you. Of course, this

is much harder since the buffs to towers, so you might need two or three waves to fully take down a top tower.

Roaming:

Most of the time, no matter the timing, you can roam and arrive at a lane really quickly. For many mid laners if

you see action happening in another lane you'll often be too late to reach there, but with Nidalee you can

immediately react and try to arrive there near the middle / end of the fight and try to clean up. However, it's much

better if you predict a gank and roam to that lane before it happens so you can ensure that you win the skirmish.

You'll want to look at whether or not you can pressure the enemy mid laner any further by looking at his hp,

minion wave location (and future location), bot lane's situation (summoner spells, position, minion wave), and your

jungler + enemy jungler's (potential) locations.

Late Game:

Later on, as teamfights and grouping starts to happen, you won't be able to find opportunities to hunt people down

as much anymore because enemies will be tankier and grouped. Nidalee has a very hard time in flat out

teamfights - she cannot deal with tanks and can only resort to healing and spearing if fights are forced with you in

a wrong position. The ideal situation is to land a spear on an enemy carry and dive them, letting the rest of your

team deal with the cleanup. What this means is that you'll want to help establish vision control and try to poke

down enemies you see on the map. Wait and seek for opportunities to apply pressure and if the enemies get split

or you manage to poke them down, call for your team to engage. You'll be forced onto a much more passive

position, so just try to find flank angles where you have vision control over and spear away. You'll want to avoid

fights and try to get as much poke damage down as possible before actually engaging the enemy, so make sure to

stand in spots that aren't warded (via pinks or scanners or standing in a spot enemies cannot reach), and try to hit

the carries.

Jungle Nidalee is an extremely potent jungler both for solo queue and for competitive play. Most of this is due to

the fact that she is extremely mobile with her Pounce and has resets on her cooldowns that allows for quick skill

rotations, making Nidalee's early game extremely strong. She does become awkward as the game progresses

due to the fact that she doesn't necessarily fit in a role well enough, but she's definitely potent enough to snowballa game on her own.

>Red Buff

>Wolves

> Blue Buff

It's important to know that these are only the standard routes. You can vary your jungle path around this main

route, but to effectively jungle you need to ensure you control your buffs, have a sizable experience gain, and are

healthy enough to respond to gank and countergank opportunities. Some of you may be wondering why I do

raptors on red side and not blue side. This is mainly due to the fact that you are level three on red side when you're

near the camp, and Swipe does enough damage to kill the small creeps, allowing Pounce to reset multiple

times, ultimately making the camp extremely easy to clear. On the other hand, on blue side, you'll only be level

two when near raptors and will take too much damage if you try to clear it.

Initial Clear:

As jungle Nidalee you'll want to start with your Bushwhack / Pounce and trap the camp you're starting at. If

you start at krugs you can place two traps - one for each jungle creep. Note that the traps last a long time so you

can even go place traps near river bushes or even enemy bushes before jungle camps spawn, if aggressive, or place

traps near your first buff / wolves to help with your clear.

What I typically like to do on blue side is

TRAP GROMP ONCE,

BLUE ONCE (IN THE BRUSH),

WOLVES ONCE,

AND WRAITHS ONCE.

On red side I

TRAP KRUGS TWICE,

RED ONCE,

AND WOLVES ONCE

The pre-set traps on red, blue, wolves, and wraiths ensure that the small camps get rooted in place when you

spear the big camp so your Pounce will deal AOE damage to all three camps.

As the camps spawn you'll want to remain in human form and immediately place another trap beneath the first

camp as you change into cougar form and start hopping away.

Your typical skill rotation on big buffs will be spear, form-change, pounce AA, pounce AA takedown form-change AA,

kite, and repeat the rotation again except adding a trap after spear and before form-change. The AA's next to other

abilities with no commas indicate resetting the autoattack animation.

One key aspect of jungling safely is kiting the jungle creeps around. When you proc your passive on a jungle creep

via your spear or trap, the jungle creeps get rooted in place. This means that you can auto attack the jungle creep

at range freely, only taking damage from the smaller creeps. You can also pull the big buff around, moving after

each autoattack when your skills are on CD to take less overall damage.

SAMPLE RED SIDE INITIAL CLEAR BY THE SHY

Level-Two Invade:

Nidalee has one of the strongest level two skillsets out of all the junglers. She gets insane mobility with

Pounce and with her four skill rotation ( Javelin Toss, Pounce, Pounce, Takedown) she can easily 100-0

most enemy junglers. This is why you commonly see level two invades by Nidalee players - you get a good leash

on your first camp ( Smiteless would be even better but it's not necessary), and immediately head over to

enemy first buff. This is most easily done on red side, as you can finish gromp and then hop over the wall in dragon

pit and hide in red buff brush, but it's also plausible on blue side, though you'll have to either route around through

banana brush or make sure to stay out of vision until the enemy is halfway done with the camp. You can 100%

make the enemy jungler blow Flash, and most of the times you'll be getting first-blood and their first buff. You

can then easily escape with Pounce if enemy laners are closing in, force a 2v2 / 3v3 as the enemy jungler will

be really low, or take his other small camp (wolves / raptors). This is most effective against slow-starting junglers

like Vi or Amumu who are completely unable to retaliate, but also works well against other decent clearing

junglers.

Early Game:

After your initial clear, you should be relatively healthy enough to start gaining map control. Start healing up with

Primal Surge and utilizing your early game strengths to prepare yourself for ganking lanes that are gankable /

get scuttles / pressure the enemy jungler.

As a jungler, controlling or at least having information on the enemy jungler is crucial. Being a better jungler

means that you are able to predict the enemy jungler's movements, limit his presence on the map, gank gankablelanes that are either 1) not likely to be counterganked or 2) likely to be counterganked but your 2v2 / 3v3 are

better than theirs, and counterjungle when he is on the other side of the map and you are unable to act.

Nidalee has advantages in ganking, counterganking, and counterjungling, especially because she has a long

range initiate with her spear (though hard to land), a lot of burst in her spell rotations, and an extreme amount of

mobility very early on. You normally can force 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 fights with the enemy jungler or at least play

aggressive to gain information / control over the map. Nidalee fares well in standoffs with her long range spears

that allow her to engage reliably once hit. The ideal goal is to gain a sizable lead into mid game, where you then

can start pressuring objectives with an advantage. It's extremely easy to setup vision with Nidalee because of

her mobility, as well, and establishing vision to gain information helps even more to snowball a game.

Late Game:

The longer the game drags out the tougher it is for Nidalee to act, mainly because she can't initiate or do much

when enemies are grouped except for healing and poking every once in a while. Because your blue will be going to

the mid laner most of the time, you won't be able to siege efficiently due to a lack of mana, and even more so

because as a jungler you'll be relatively behind compared to a mid or top Nidalee. Because of this you'll want to

be mainly healing, spearing, and sitting back in faceoffs, while meticulously managing your mana pool. You'll be

forced into a more passive position, so to help your team, spending more money on vision control and avoiding

straight-out teamfights is more ideal.

tl;dr: Start strong early, establish vision control, and snowball the game, or else play more passive and seek for

opportunities to punish mispositioned enemies.

I hope this guide taught you a few things about Nidalee you didn't know before! If you have any questions or

comments feel free to drop them in the comment section below or PM me about them. Nidalee is a very fun

champion that many others cannot compare with, and I hope more people come to see her merits.
