ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Brigada Eskwela

May 18-23, 2015

Macalinao Elementary School conducted Brigada Eskwela 2015 last May 18-23, 2015. On the first day, there was a district kick-off ceremony at Bula Central School wherein all teachers participated. There was a motorcade conducted from Romero Elementary School to Palsong Elementary School then back to Bula Central School, in which the opening program was held. In the afternoon, the teachers went back to their respective station. An opening program was also held to inform and invite the people in the community to participate in the said activity.

On the second day of the Brigada Eskwela, there were eleven parents and eleven 4ps members who joined the activity. They cleaned the school grounds, arranged landscapes and cut the grasses along the pathway. They see to it that the dirt and grasses were disposed properly in the compost pit. They also gathered the stones that can harm children in the ground and pathways. The withered plants were also removed and to be replace soon.

Repairs of the fence around the school garden were conducted on the third day. There were twenty two parents, eleven 4Ps members, and ten barangay workers who participated. They also cut the grasses in the school garden. One barangay worker used grass cutter to cut the tall grasses. Cultivation of the soil was not done due to the physical condition of the soil.

The District Monitoring and Evaluation Team of Sector A visited our school on the fourth day. Dr. Jina Luz Z. Alfelor, the District Supervisor, and Mr. Jimmy T. Losa, the School Head In Charge in Agriculture and at the same time the Principal of Sto. Domingo Elementary School monitored the progress of the Brigada Eskwela 2015 in our school.

Even though the Brigada Eskwela is in progress, a District Mobile Conference was held on May 22 at Macalinao Elementary School. It was participated by all the school heads of Bula District.

May 23, was the last day of the week long activity. Through the overwhelming support of the volunteers, the classrooms are restructured and spruced up. All school facilities are now in good condition. The school surrounding is now free from tall grasses. Generally, the school is now ready for the school opening.

Our school benefited not only from better classrooms and facilities but also from the goodwill of people who exerted effort, spent time and shared what they have to the betterment of the school. The true value of Brigada Eskwela is on how well we can teach our children the essence of cooperation and community involvement. Our bayanihan spirit is very much alive in Brigada Eskwela.

Evidences for the week long activity are attached herewith.
