The Technology Resource Center (TRC)
• The Technology Resource Center (TRC) of Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) provides a wide spectrum of quality information technology services and support that meet the requirements of the entire University community.• TRC started using the Brightspace by D2L platform to manage
student employee training and provide easy access to documentation.
Brightspace Use
• By using Brightspace, there is more flexibility and transparency as knowledge of issues and solutions can be communicated to all student workers immediately. • Additionally, the TRC course offers remote access to
resources for students troubleshooting computer issues around campus.• Solves the problem of limited licenses for our
ticketing software system.
The TRC on Brightspace
Through Brightspace by D2L our student workers and staff can share:• PDF and Word files.• Upload and share Video Links or Recordings in the
Content area.• Test their Knowledge through Quizzes.• Upload through the dropbox confidential information
or forms.• Get connected and do discussions with the rest of
the TRC group.
