Applied Measurement Professionals
• Identify a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
• Conduct an SME-based job analysis
• Create an adapted content outline
• Train the SMEs in question writing skills
• Review and evaluate current questions
• Edit current questions or write new ones
• Hire independent certified translators to translate the questions
• Have your bilingual SMEs review translated questions
• Have translator independently “back-translate” items
Translation
• Perform pre-testing
• Revise questions that are problematic
• Offer the first administration
• 50 candidates are needed before the exam can be scored
• AMP determines the passing point
• Exams are ready to be administered– On demand at computer testing centers
