In January 2017 the entrepreneur Azzedine Lamoudi started up a new manufacturing unit Sarl Briqueterie El Hoceinia in El-Ho-ceinia (province of Aïn Defla), 80 km west of Algiers. This was a strategic investment in an area with reserves of high-quali-ty clay ideal for brick production. The new factory will comple-ment the operations of BNK, another brick plant to the east of Algiers also owned by Mr. Lamoudi which has been producing bricks since 2005. Construction of the plant, with its capacity of 600 tons/day of high-quality B8 and B12 hollow blocks, involved the contribu-tion of Bongioanni Macchine, which exploited its decades of experience to install and start up the plants in just six months from the date of shipment. Contractual capacity was reached in just one month from start-up.

Specifically, the Italian company supplied two CFD 120/6m box feeders for clay and one CRG100/4m box feeder for sand, as well as an R1200 clay crusher which reduces the raw material to a size of a couple of centimetres. These are followed by an 11LD type clay disintegrator, an LE-

With this thickness, the clay is blended by a 710I mixer and can correctly absorb the necessary quantity of water before being fed to the stock silo, which is equipped with 3 large-sized cham-bers to increase the time the clay remains inside the silo and en-sure uniform moisture content. The order also included a 50EM1422 bucket excavator equipped with a 14-metre arm with 22 buckets, each with a capacity of 50 litres.The production line consists of a CFD 120/6m box feeder which receives clay from the excavator and subsequently feeds it at a constant rate to the LI810 refining roller mill. The clay then tran-sits through a 710I moisturising mixer and is finally fed to the Tecno 750 extruder.Ever attentive to wear issues, Bongioanni has developed augers with chromium carbide and tungsten carbide anti-wear coat-ings and high-thickness chromium plating. Bongioanni Macchine also supplied the electrical power and control boards, which were built in keeping with the latest safe-ty and performance standards regarding both materials and software. The scope of supply also included rubber belt con-veyors with a galvanised modu-lar structure. These are fully equipped to en-sure smooth operation and ef-fective maintenance (switches, speed controls, cable emergen-cies, etc.).

Thanks to the professionalism and expertise provided by Bon-gioanni and the synergy estab-lished with the customer, the El Hoceinia plant is one of the most ergonomic and techno-logically-advanced facilities to have been built in recent years. 5
