Trench Warfare: To protect their positions and to cut down on losses

both sides dug trenches.: Night supplies were brought in and scouts were sent

out.: Different problems in the trenches were – mud, rats,

body rot, cold, staying dry, maggots, and lice.

Militarism: Military was built up for two reasons, 1) to protect their

colonies. 2) peer pressure.: They use a mandatory draft to accomplish this. : Russia had the largest army, Germany biggest trained, Britain

had the largest navy.
