Storm water runoff - In urban areas, water flows through storm sewers to our rivers and streams where it causes ero-sion, flooding, and contamination. As storm water travels it can also pick up
oil, antifreeze, fertilizer, and bacteria.
What can you do?
Reduce use of pesticides and ferti-lizers
Plant native vegetation
Reduce impervious surfaces like asphalt and cement
Capture rain water to use in your yard or garden
