Empowerment through employment of the disabled and historicallydisadvantaged communities has been the focus of since it Rob Wyly Trading

was established in 1990. For this reason, a joint venture between andRWTSHAP was formalised in 1993. This association has secured training and fulltime employment for many disabled people at SHAP in Soweto, since itsinception.

7th Wave was established to save a failed cut, make and trim (CMT) factory. It now offers employment to previously disadvantaged workerswho would have otherwise been retrenched. The initiative includes an ongoing training programme, improving the skills of the workers. As aresult of this programme, 7 Wave Investments now continuously developnew products and improve existing ones.
