Closing the loop with CLS Inside and HTEXA WASTE-FREE, CIRCULAR RESOURCE WORLD FOR WORKWEAR IS WITHIN REACH

A waste-free, circular resource world for workwear is within reach• The continual production of new work clothes from virgin

materials – such as oil, to make polyester, and cotton, which uses up vast amounts of land, water and pesticides – coupled with poor recycling methods are wreaking havoc on our environment and our economy.

• HTEX Technology, and CLS-Tex are closing the loop for textiles. We believe there are already enough non-reusable textiles ‘above ground’ and in circulation today to satisfy our annual demand. We do not need more ‘new’ raw materials. What we do need is to be better at turning the old ones into the new ones.

The challengeCurrently, less than 1% of non-wearable textiles are turned back into new ones due to the shortcomings of existing recycling methods.

Mechanical recycling methods are:• Unable to separate dyes and other contaminants• Unable to separate blended polyester and cotton

But all of this is about to change...

The solution• HTEX polymer recycling technology separates,

decontaminates and extracts polyester polymers to building stones fore new polyester on the same level as virgin polyester.

• From cotton we make cellulose to use for viscoses. Together with our chain partners we turn them back into new textile raw materials to produce yarn and fabrics and new clothing as part of a continual cycle.

• Our aim for the outputs from our process is to compete with virgin resource prices, while saving energy and reduce CO2. Bringing us closer to a waste-free, circular resource world.

It just makes sense.

The era of needing oil by-products to make polyester is over. We will be able to focus more on decreasing the amount of virgin cotton needed for clothing with a new type of cellulosic fibre that’s already there. In existing clothing.

Together with our circle of collaborators and strategic partners we move towards a circular model providing long term resource security and price stability for virgin-equivalent raw materials.

How we workour extensive servicesThe products from CLS Inside come with a

passport (QR code). This way we know exactly

where the product was made, who made it and

what the product was made of. This information

can be read by both the producers and the

partners, but also by the user of the CLS Inside

products. This information ensures that we know

exactly which materials have been used, making

it possible to easily sort the clothing by raw

material and recycle the products with the right

technology.

The entire process of recycling (turning the raw

materials into new products) are monitored

transparently and controlled with our unique

Passport for Textile: P4T® (track & trace system).

CLS-Tex provides the end user with an

environmental savings document and declaration

of destruction as well as with transparent insight

into the chain.

This makes it possible for you to check for yourself

that what you have purchased is genuine. We also

supply the certificates stating that the products

are made from recycled material.

The QR code is ‘placed on the clothing’, making it

possible for you to check the entire product chain

after your purchase. We make sure the necessary

certificates are delivered together with your

purchase.

If you no longer use the clothing, you can return it

to CLS-Tex. We will then recycle the clothing into

raw materials for new textiles or into those for

making Cliff products.

After having sent us the clothing, you will be

provided with the environmental savings

document and declaration of destruction.

If you want to purchase new CLS Inside products

or Cliff products made from your own clothing, we

can surely organize this for you.
