Manufacture

EMERGING BUILDCON. Pre Engineered Steel

Buildings are custom designed to meet the exact

requirement of the customer. The company has

modern manufacturing facility for the fabrication by

using high tensile steel plates welded with state of art

SAW & MIG welding system. All the components like

Rigid Columns, Rafters, Cold Form Purlins & Metal

roofing/Cladding are made out of quality materials by

modern manufacturing facility and transported to the

site. Our PEB is installed in a remarkably low time,

thus saving precious time and money

Applicable Codes & Standards Structures are designed and manufactured in accordance with American Codes, Unless Specified

EMERGING BUILDCON. applies the following US codes , which are recognized as the PEB standard worldwide, for designing

of all steel buildings :

Wind zone and velocity are considered and applied as per latest edition of IS875-1987 code of practice for design loads.

Seismic loads are considered and applied as per seismic zone in the latest edition of IS1893-1984 (Revised in 2002). Seismic

load of application is considered as per the latest edition of MBMA- 1986

Loads on the buildings are applied in accordance with the latest edition of International Building Codes, International

Code Council. Inc (IBC) 4051, West Flossmoor Road, Club Hill, IL 60478-5795, USA.

Loads on the building are applied in accordance with low rise building system manual of Metal Building Manufactures

Association INC, (MBMA), 1300 Summer Ave, Cleveland Ohio 44115, USA, 1986 edition, 1990 supplement and the latest

edition and supplements.

Hot rolled sections and built- up sections are designed as per the ninth edition (1989) of Manual of Steel Construction-

Allowable Stress Design of American Institute of Steel Construction. Inc (AISC)1 East Wacker Drive, Suite 3100, Chica-

go, Illinois-60601-2001, USA

Design for Cold Form Section are carried out as per the 1980 edition of Cold Formed Steel Design Manual of American

Iron & Steel Institute (AISI), 1000, 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC, USA and the latest edition and supplements.

Welding is carried out in accordance with the 19th Edition (2004) of Structural Welding Code – Steel (AWS DLIM:2004)

of the American Welding Society (AWS), 550 NE Lejeune Road, Miami, FL 33126, USA and the latest edition and sup-

plements.

Wherever relevant codes are not available, the buildings are designed and constructed as per the latest edition of IS 800

Handling & Storage:

EMERGING BUILDCON. ensures that structural steel is stored out of mud and dirt and proper drainage of the storage area

is provided if required to protect from damage or soiling by adjacent construction operations.

Drawings:

EMERGING BUILDCON prepares detailed general arrangement drawings giving complete information neces-

sary for the fabrication of the structures. All information is clearly given. The drawings are strictly in conformity

with the best modern practices. A marking diagram allotting identification marks to each separate piece of steel

work is prepared. The drawing has sufficient details to ensure convenient assembly and erection of the struc-

ture. Symbols used for welding in the drawing is in accordance with IS:813.

Painting - Shop Primer:

Primary steel is cleaned to specification St2. One shop primer coat of Red Oxide Zinc Chromate is applied with

average dry film thickness of 35 microns on all red steel. Shop primer provides protection for elements while in

transit and construction, and is not intended to be for permanent protection.

Basic Building Parameters

Building Length:

Whenever possible maintain equal bay lengths throughout the building. When this is not possible make

all interior bays equal and make the end bays equal but shorter than the interior bays.

Building Width:

Whenever possible make building width a multiple of 3m. This is because roof purlins are spaced at 1.5 m is equal to two purlin spacing's one on each side of the ridge.

Building Width:

No matter what primary framing system is used, the building width is defined as the distance from outside of eave strut of one sidewall to outside of eave strut of the opposite sidewall.

Building Length:

The distance between the outside flanges of end wall columns in opposite end wall is con-sidered the building length. Building Length is a combination of several bay lengths.

End Bay Length:

End Bay Length is the distance from outside of the outer flange of end wall columns to center-line of the first interior frame columns.

Interior Bay Length:

Interior Bay Length is the distance between center lines of two adjacent main frame col-umns. The most common bay lengths are 7m, 7.5m and 8m. Bay length can be up to 15m. Jack Beam based on the particular require-ment.

Design Loads:

Unless otherwise specified EB Pre Engineered Buildings are designed for the following minimum loads.

Roof live loads: 0.57 KN/M2

Design Wind Speed: 140Km/h

Special Conditions:

Conditions for snow loads, earthquake loads, col-lateral loads or any other local climatic condition (if required) must be specified at the time of enquiry for quotation.

Normally, loads for Pre Engineered Steel Buildings are applied in accordance with the latest American Codes and standards applicable to pre engineered steel buildings as mentioned earlier.

Purlins are cold formed sections of thickness 1.6mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm and made of G.I. ‘Z’ & ‘C’ shaped high grade steel conforming to ASTM A607 Grade 50 with minimum 120 GSM of ZINC COATING with standard punching AS PER DESIGN.
