A Dramatic Disappearance.

In 2008, Midlands was transfixed when Hollywood legend and local resident Jacob Bennett seemed to vanish into thin air on his 50th wedding anniversary. Bennett’s last known destination: A late-night meeting on a one-of-a-kind yacht, The Hepburn.

An Arresting Arrest.

People were shocked when Bennett’s body was found weeks later with a bullet in its chest. But the world was stunned when Bennett’s business partner, Oski-nominated actor and director Jackie Owens, was arrested and charged with Bennett’s murder.

“A Twist Worthy Of One Of Their Movies.”

Things looked bleak for Owens. But on Sunday, April 18, 2010, as the jury was deliberating, Owens’s true partner in crime revealed herself. Actress Alex Grace (left) masterminded a daring and ingenious plan that sprung Owens from a Memphis jail cell. Then, like their victim, the murderers vanished.

The Sinking . . . or the Escape?

Weeks later, the Bennett saga took its final bizarre turn when the Coast Guard reported that Grace and Owens had been spotted aboard the site of their crime just before The Hepburn mysteriously vanished beneath the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Their bodies were never found.

The Hepburn Expedition.

Neptune is the only company in the world that leads scuba diving expeditions to The Hepburn wreck.

Be part of the mystery . . . and the history!

Be part of the Crime of the Millennium!

Frequently Asked Questions Is It Safe?

At 170+ feet below sea level, The Heburn is not for beginners, and we will only accept custom-ers with advanced open water certification. That said, we took 100 recreational divers to The Hepburn in 2010 alone. They all came back safe and sound and 98 said they would recom-mend The Hepburn Expedition to a friend. Team Leader Reggie Rodgers and Dive Master Casey French are experienced scuba instructors with the highest certification levels and a com-mitment to your safety.

How Much Does It Cost?

$10,000 per person. We know that’s steep. But we’re the only dive company in the world that takes recreational divers to this one-of-a-kind wreck. We only take ten divers per trip and our crew is the best in the world. And the cost doesn’t just include the four dives on The Hep-burn. It also covers luxury accommodations and gourmet dining aboard our state-of-the-art 120-foot luxury yacht The Man of the People, rental equipment, and five additional Atlantic Ocean dives. All you need to do is get yourself to Mi-ami and we’ll take it from there. How much is the adventure of a lifetime worth to you?

How Do The Dives Work?

We always use the time-tested buddy system. Each customer will be paired with another cus-tomer at all times (perfect for friends or cou-ples who have experience diving together). A team leader is always at the front of the pack. A dive master always brings up the rear. These guides will ensure your safety.

When Can I Go?

The Hepburn Expedition lasts Sunday to Sunday. We’ll be setting sail ten times in Summer 2011: June 5-12, June 12-19, June 19-26, July 3-10, July 10-17, July 17-24, July 24-31, August 7-14, August 14-21, and August 21-28. Spaces are fill-ing up fast, so make sure to book soon!
