PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The U.S. Foreign Policy Summer Program will offer two, two-week courses in the summer of 2015. The programs, which are offered for academic credit or audit, feature core lectures by program director Dr. Kimberley L. Thachuk, GW faculty, and guest speakers from a wide variety of organizations. Students at the U.S. Foreign Policy Summer Program will also be briefed at institutions that shape U.S. foreign policy. Typical site visits include some of the following: U.S. Department of State U.S. Department of Defense Senate Foreign Relations Committee Council on Foreign Relations The National Defense University The Brookings Institution Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars Al Jazeera Associated Press U.S. Institute of Peace The Smithsonian Foreign embassies The World Bank International Monetary Fund United States Agency for International Development TO APPLY Please see the program website for more information and to apply: http://usfpsp.elliott.gwu.edu. Graduates, professionals, and select advanced undergraduate students are invited to submit applications. The deadline is April 1, 2015 for Session One and May 8, 2015 for Session Two.
