THE NEW RENAULT KANGOO IS A SMALL VAN WITH A BIG WORK ETHIC. IT IS BUILT WITH AN ENGINE THAT IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO TOW A TRAILER, YET FUEL EFFICIENT FOR URBAN DRIVING. The efficient and flexible 1.6L four-cylinder petrol engine in the Renault Kangoo SWB models is coupled to either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. It is tuned to deliver 79kW of power and 148Nm of torque at low speeds and mid-range, with a combined cycle of just 7.7L/100km (manual).^

The Renault Kangoo Maxi variant features an economical yet powerful 1.5L diesel engine producing 81kW and 240Nm with a 6-speed manual transmission and impressive combined cycle of only 4.7L/100km.^

In a first for an Australian Renault commercial vehicle, the new Kangoo Maxi comes with ECO Mode, a fuel-saving system that improves economy by reducing engine torque and altering the accelerator pedal mapping for more conservative throttle response. Switch ECO Mode on to improve fuel economy in the city by up to 10%. The gear change indicator on the dash alerts you when it’s the optimum time to change gear.

As you’d expect from the biggest-selling light commercial manufacturer in Europe, great care has been taken to ensure the Renault Kangoo costs as little to maintain and service as possible. The Renault Capped Price Service program is your reassurance that your services will cost one flat fixed amount for the first three years or 45,000km of your Kangoo’s life.

Service intervals are once every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever comes first, which means less time off the road. On top of that, a comprehensive 3-year/200,000km warranty is your assurance that your Renault Kangoo is a valuable, reliable and trustworthy part of your business.

READY FOR WORK

THE RENAULT KANGOO HAS SIMILAR EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS TO A MID-SIZE SUV, YET ITS INTERIOR SPACE HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR YOUR WORKDAY, WITH A ROOMY REAR THAT’S EASY TO LOAD AND UNLOAD.The compact dimensions of the Renault Kangoo make it easy to park, manoeuvre and load. The low 1.8m roof height means easy access to underground car parks, even with a roof rack fitted. The Renault Kangoo Maxi provides an extra 384mm in length and an extra cubic metre of load space. If you need a little extra space at the rear for carrying tall or long objects in the SWB model, the optional Girafon rear roof hatch is the answer.

The Renault Kangoo SWB has a 10.7 metre turning circle, smaller than that of many passenger cars, so performing even the trickiest U-turn is no problem. Both Maxi and SWB models have dual side doors for maximum parking flexibility and safer unloading or loading away from traffic. Choose between tailgate or rear barn doors.

The sturdy construction and highly efficient power of the Renault Kangoo enables a payload of up to 830kg and 4.0 cubic metres of load space in the Maxi and 3.0 cubic metres of load space and up to 611kg payload in the SWB. If you need to tow a trailer, the Renault Kangoo provides 1050kg of pulling power. An impressive 1.22m width between wheel arches in both variants means a full sized pallet can be loaded through the rear doors.

IN SAFE HANDS The new Renault Kangoo is equipped with a high level of safety features. Standard equipment includes Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with ASR (Traction Control), which detects even momentary loss of control and applies individual brakes to the required wheel to correct your trajectory in an instant.

Hill Start Assist on the new Renault Kangoo Maxi makes steep city streets a breeze. Hill Start Assist holds the vehicle’s brakes on for up to 2 seconds after the brake is released, making acceleration on steep inclines significantly easier to control and reducing the risk of rolling back.

The Maxi also features Extended Grip, an advanced traction control system that optimises the traction of the front wheels, even when each wheel is on different surfaces for example mud and gravel.

In all Renault Kangoo models, both driver and passenger are protected by airbags and powerful, responsive ABS braking, with extra stopping power when you need it thanks to Brake Assist. The Renault Kangoo’s large, wide windscreen provides optimum visibility of hazards and other road users. ‘On the move’ door locking automatically locks the doors at speeds of 30km/h.

Because the Renault Kangoo knows the importance of staying in contact with head office and clients, the hands-free Bluetooth® system connects to your compatible smartphone allowing simple making and answering of phone calls on the road – legally and safely.

Like all Renault vehicles, the Kangoo’s handling is both predictable and responsive. Its compact shape and stance provides extra stability and manoeuvrability with low body roll, keeping your gear safe and secure no matter how out-of-the-way your next job is.
