Whisky has been become one of the most famous features of Scotland and this reputation has been maturing now for several centuries, since the days of highlanders producing this ‘water of life’ through Illicit stills, hidden away in the highland glens. Today it has become a legitimate industry and one worth in excess of £4b to the Scottish economy and it employs over 36,000 people. The visit to Glengoyne Distillery will include a master class in how to blend whisky and under laboratory like conditions you will have the opportunity to produce and register your very own blend. A general visit of the this Highland Distillery and of course a chance to taste the whisky will be included in the experience too!

No trip to this farm would be complete without tasting the produce, so a lovely selection of the seafood and shellfish produced will be served up, accompanied of course by a chilled glass of white wine

Scotland if known internationally as the “Home of Golf” and lays claim, along with the Dutch, to having invented the game in the first place. The most famous Golf Championship in the world, “The Open” has always been played on links courses since it first began in 1860. Links courses, or seaside courses, are typically tight and tough to play, with few if any trees and exposed to the elements, making golf much tougher This experience will give the guests the chance to play such a course on the Ayrshire Coast and either the Royal Troon or Prestwick, who together have hosted ‘The Open’ 32 times to date Hospitality within the clubhouse will complete a great day to remember.

A shooting school, set within natural woodland and surrounded by truly spectacular scenery guarantees and unforgettable, simulated game shooting challenge. From drawing the pegs until the end of the shoot, we will try to replicate, as closely as possible, the atmosphere of the “real thing”. with the drives consisting of Grouse, Partridge, high Pheasant and more, bringing true challenge but a lot of fun too! A selection of Scottish cheeses, home-made chutneys and highland oatcakes, combined with a wee dram of Drambuie will complete this wonderful experience.

After only a short ride by car to Loch Lomond, the main hub within Scotland’s first National Park, you will be met by your skipper, dressed in appropriate clothing and whisked off at speed, in a powerboat, to enjoy the dramatic and majestic scenery which is all around you and best viewed from a boat. As Australia will be featuring in the line up of the Games in Glasgow, so to will they feature on this trip, or at least in association with the wallabies you will be trying to spot.
