Our next meeting will be held on Friday, October 23rd and we’ll take nominations for Division officers. Many thanks are due to all the members who volunteered for the Papal Mass and to Emmett and Carmel and crew for running the Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser for the 1916 Centennial Committee. This truly revolutionary document was read from the steps of the GPO by Padraic Pearse at the beginning of the Easter Rising on April 24th, 1916. POT O’GOLD RAFFLE

Once again our Annual Pot of Gold raff le has begun and we are seeking your support. Each year demand for these tickets increases and yet our space remains somewhat limited. It is for this reason that we ask, if you are considering attending our parties, please secure your tickets as soon as possible. This year we are once again keeping the cost for our tickets at 100.00. Not only will you be helping us to continue to support our numerous charitable endeavors, you and a guest will be entitled to attend both of our parties and also have an opportunity at winning numerous prizes. This year our 1st party (drawing #1) will be held on Sunday November 8th at the Hibernian House. The second party (drawing #2) will be held on Sunday December 20th also at the Hibernian House. Tickets can be secured by contacting Bill Lee at [email protected] or 845-558-4148 or Dermot Moore at [email protected] or 845-735-8793. Tickets can also be obtained at the Hibernian House, please ask the bartender on duty for the tickets.

HIBERNIAN HOUSE

The just concluded AOH golf challenge between the Coyle brothers and John Gannon and Pete Dunne ended as expected with the brothers Coyle being trounced. Due to the lopsided victory the cup has been retired. Kudos to Warren Hennessy for showing his tumbling skills while on the golf trip to Shawnee, nothing to do with the martinis. Rumor has it Vince Tyer is getting a permanently starched white scarf to wear in his new sports car. Which member allegedly has mad cows disease? No names but he makes great pizza. Hmmm. OJ McClay still complaining about the free food at the AOH. Too much cole slaw on the FREE sandwich. Capt. crazy back from LBI. One day watching Fox News and he is in mid-season form. Knockout pool took a major hit in week two. Our two experts who run the pool are still alive. Oops, no they are out. We welcomed all the visiting members of the various AOH clubs on 10/4 and everyone had a great day. Mr. Bill is back driving the school bus. There is never any trouble on Mr. Bill's bus. Every one had a great time on Boland’s West point Trip but who was that House officer who posted the pub opening time on the inside of the front door where no one could see it? We hear that he also proposed moving the fire exit signs to the exterior of the building. Lots of good work being done in the building, place looks great. Anyone need golf equipment our own Doug Meeks has some great buys down at old Tappan Golf course.
