    Today, its share is around 30% and falling.

    During the same period, Chrome and Safariare the only two browsers in the top

    five that have gained in popularity.

    In 2012, Firefox was the leading browser inAfrica and Europe. In both regions, it

    appears that Chrome has increased inusage at the expense of Internet Explorer.

    At 2% usage share, Europe, together withAfrica, is also the strongest region forOpera.

    North America is still Internet Explorersstronghold but over the year, its usage sharehas fallen to 39% from 40%

    Oceania is the only region where Safaritrumps Firefox, reaching the third place with19% usage share.

    If the Browser Wars would really be called justthat, Chrome would already have wondecisively in South America with a 59% usageshare.
