Brunvoll Remote Control &Monitoring SystemBrunvoll has developed modularthruster control systems based onPLC standard units.

Approved by the major classifica-tion societies, they provide com-plete control, monitoring andalarm functions for thrusters.

The Brunvoll Remote Control & Monitoring System iseasy to configure and update. It can be used as astandalone system and can easily be interfaced withother integrated monitoring, alarm and control sys-tems such as VDR, Joystick, DP, PMS and others.

The RDT is electrically driven with apermanent magnet (PM) motor, wherethe motor windings are in the stator andwhere the rotor has a number of perma-nent magnets.

The Brunvoll Low Noise Tunnel Thrusters, Resiliently Mounted withfull length double tunnel, result in a noise reduction of 11 to 15 dB(A).

This design is mainly used on cruise liners, super yachts and offshorevessels where extensive noise suppression is necessary.Also available in shock resistant version.

LOW NOISE TUNNEL THRUSTERS

The Brunvoll RetractableAzimuth Thrusters are usedfor dynamic positioning onoffshore vessels, as mooringthrusters on shuttle tankers,and as stand by/take homepropulsion on naval ships andcoastal tankers.

A special version, the Combi-Thruster, works as a tunnelthruster in upper position, andas an azimuth thruster inlower position.
