Current Problem
• The BRVFD & RS does not have adequate facilities to properly deliver a training program worthy of our membership.
– The current practice of utilizing existing facilities is not practical nor cost effective.
Training Facility Proposal
• To enhance the BRVFD & RS training program by converting the existing Rental House to a Training Facility that can be utilized for classroom instruction, practical evolutions and office space.
Needed Repairs / Remodeling Inside
• Walls– Remove wall coverings
throughout
– Remove wall between Bedroom 1 and Living Room
– Insulated, Drywall, Finished, Painted

• Floors– Commercial Grade
Tile Glued

• Bathroom– Remove Tub, New
Toilet, Urinal

• Kitchen– New sink, counter top,
and 2 new wall cabinets
– Hot water heater
Needed Logistics
• 25 classroom chairs
• Projector screen
• 6 folding tables
• Lighting– Install 3’x4’ fluorescent lights in classroom area
• Remove trees and shrubs
• Remove fence between station and training facility
• Install sidewalk between station parking lot and training facility
• Install 30’ x 30’ x 6” concrete pad for extrication drills.

• Various rough estimates indicate that approximately $20,000.oo is needed to complete this project.

• Some work would be done in-house.
