Paragon Board Rev K Issue

• Newest revision of Paragon Table board

• Failed most test from test rig

• Six boards from Altek Electronics

• Numerous steps to try and locate source

of error

– Ran boards on test machine

– Ran boards through test rig

– Searched through schematic

– Removed wires

Paragon Board Rev K Issue

• Boards fully functional after ran

on machine for x amount of time

• Realized boards must be simply

powered on for x amount of time

• U40 component burns out which

allows board to function properly

Altek Electronics

Full service manufacturer of printed circuit board and assemblies

Manufacturer of Paragon PCBAs

Two Visits

• Update test rig after rev K issue

• Troubleshoot problem with Infinity Plotter circuit board

Software Integration

• Collaborated with Andy Zaharek

• Both worked on software updates at the same time

• Needed to collaborate so end result is identical

• Communication through email

Paragon Test Software

• Each board had an associated test program

• Combined three different test program into one

overall test

• Automatically detect which board is connected

• Graphical Improvements

Paragon Test Fixture

• Current Test Fixture disorganized

• One cable bundle per board

– Many sub cables per bundle

• Many wires per cable

• Create fixture with all boards mounted with an organized cable set

• Improves ease of use and overall appearance
