IBC / IECC (International Building Code) / ( International Energy Conservation Code)

“A model code for the establishment of minimum design and construction requirements for buildings and energy efficiency”.

8th edition MA building code (780 CMR) is based on 2009 IBC• Includes 2009 IECC

MA will not adopt 2012 IBC but; 2012 IECC (Includes 2010 ASHRAE 90.1) has been adopted by MA as of July 2013• MA may adopt IBC 2015 date TBD for 9th edition MA building code
