Programme Re-Approval Details for Sept 2014

Preparing and Consulting o As part of programme delivery we are always making minor
adjustments to ensure that the programme is up to date and relevant to the profession
o Every five years in the University system programmes undergo a re-approval process that allows for larger changes to be made that reflect current developments and changes in regulations
o Enhancements to the current programme

physics etc.
Themes
Enhancements 1 - 3
1. Only 20 and 40 credit modules
2. Changes to assessment regulations and therefore a move to single assessments, exemptions applied where appropriate
3. No re-registration and NO exceptional 3rd attempts
Enhancement 4: IPE
• Two strands (collaboration/ team working and research)
Research now delivered in professional group– Year 1; UKESSP content to be merged into RONC
PRO1 (one assessment)– Year 2; RONC Introduction to Research Methods
(20 credits)– Year 3; RONC Dissertation(20 credits)
Enhancement 5: Physics
• Year 1: RONC Applications of Radiotherapy Science (20 Credits)
• Year 2: RONC Imaging and Treatment Planning (20 credits)
• Year 3: RONC Accuracy and Reproducibility (20 credits)
