BSP prepares and monitors the implementation of the sixyear MediumTermStrategy for the Organization (C/4). Every two years BSP also prepares andmonitors, in cooperation with Programme Sectors, the biennialProgrammeandBudget(C/5) oftheOrganization,throughSISTER.
BSP implementsUNESCOsresourcemobilisationstrategy; oversees implementation
of
the
Director
Generals
Extrabudgetary
Action
Plan; develops
the
ComplementaryAdditionalProgramme(CAP);anddevelopsandcoordinatestheimplementation of publicprivate sector partnerships, and innovative financingapproaches.
BSP promotes, with programme sectors, a futureoriented approach on emergingtrends and challenges for the Organization and foresightoriented reflection onselectissues.
BSP coordinates UNESCOs involvement in UN reform and within United NationsCountry Teams (UNCTs), largely for the elaboration of United NationsDevelopmentAssistanceFrameworks(UNDAFs)
