Baker Oil Tools Description The BTR-1.0 tubing retrievable gas lift mandrels are made up as an integral part of t he production tub- ing when preparing a well for gas lift, chemical injection, or other special applications. This mandrel uti- lizes 1.0 inch flow control devices. If the mandrel is used in gas lift operations, it is designed to be used with injection pressure operated gas lift valves. These mandrels are designed with a long tapered upper lug and lower pressure lug to facilitate man- drel passage during installation and removal from the well. Side guards plates are welded to the up per lug and mandrel body. This design provides protection and containment for flow control equipment and prevents damage to the equipment during installation or removal from the well. The BTR-1.0 tubing retrievable gas lift mandrels are available in J55, N80 and L80 grade material.     Application/OperationThe flow control device is installed by threading

    it into the 1/2 inch NPT pressure lug located at thebottom of the mandrel. For tubing flow operations,

    the flow enters through the ports of the flow controldevice, down through the pressure lug and into themandrel through it's ports that are communicatedwith the tubing.
