I have had the pleasure of knowing Buford for well over a decade. He is one of
the nicest people you would ever meet. What I remember most about Buford
was his love for his kids. Every time Buford and I would cross paths the first
topic out of his mouth was an update about his kids. I can't believe he is gone
from this life. However, I do know wherever he is, Buford has already made it
better! RIP Buford. Your friend Sam Sanchez Albuquerque NMSAM SANCHEZ, MARCH 15, 2021
I knew Bufford for many years, since our children attended elementary school
together. He was always super kind, friendly, and positive. Although I know
Bufford went to wherever good people go when they leave this earth, this news
of his passing is extremely disconcerting for my family and me. We pray that
his loved ones can find peace. Our hearts go out to them.PETER LITWIN, MARCH 2, 2021
So sorry Buford don't know why the good die so young and people like me
keep on going. My two brothers died at 61 and 73, both had everything one
could want.FRED PRESTON, FEBRUARY 25, 2021
Buford was the best. I have such fond memories of him. Back when I was

upbeat, honest and sincere. I'm terribly sorry for your loss, and you are in my

Jean, I was so sadden to hear the news of Buford. It has been a long, long time
since we've seen each other, but remember our brief time working together at
Comp Systems~QS/1. My first husband passed away several years ago, and
one of the comforts I have is that this is only a temporary separation and we
will see each other again in heaven. This will be the same will be for you and
Buford too. I'm praying you will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit surrounding
you and your children in the days ahead.BETH (BRUNSTAD) VAGLE, JANUARY 25, 2021

My heart is saddened learning of the passing of Bufford. I first met Bufford as
a young girl of either 5, 6, or 7, when his family came to visit mine. I instantly
took to him as we played together. In fact, we had a pretend wedding - minus
the kiss. My parents soon divorced, which too my life in a different direction,
and sadly we did not remain in touch. Now, as I watch Bufford’s Celebration of
Life, I realize our earthly world has lost a wonderful, Godly man who has made
such a positive impact on all those who knew him and all those who came in
contact with him.DATHA DOTSON, JANUARY 24, 2021
Thanks for the laughs and the memories for over 30 years! You were definitely
unforgettable and one of a kind and the truest friend to all. Glad to have been
two of those friends.CHARLEE AND RODGER GARBS, JANUARY 23, 2021
I was a customer of Buford's for over 20-years and I enjoyed working with him
very much. He is one of the few stand-up men with strong character who
"walked the talk". He leaves some big shoes to fill. Buford will be dearly
missed.JAMES CARY, JANUARY 23, 2021

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Abeldt Family. My son, Cannon
and I, first met Buford at a baseball field in Frisco, when Cannon and Ben were
both 7th graders. The boys played on the same team for a weekend
tournament. Even though that was the only time the guys actually played ball
on the same team, we would consistently bump in to Ben, Buford and family at
various tournaments around the North Texas region. Buford was always super
kind and extremely easy to talk to. There was never a time when he and I
would bump in to one another, where he wouldn't have the nicest things to say
to me about my son, Cannon. Buford, (and you too Ben) made a lasting
impression on us and his kindness and warm, genuine personality won't be
forgotten. We know he'll be rooting all the boys on from his Heavenly perch as
they move forward with not only their baseball playing careers, but in their
lives in general as well. He will surely be missed. Rest in peace kind sir...
Abeldt Family, you're in our thoughts and prayers. Derek Green Frisco, TX.DEREK GREEN AND CANNON GREEN, JANUARY 21, 2021

I had the privilege and pleasure of working, playing golf, and just hanging out
with Buford. He was one of the most caring and smart person I have ever
known. He cared so much for QS/1 and his QS/1 customers. He was a great
part of the QS/1 success. I will remember him each time I play golf. I have the
HP Byron Nelson championship 2009 golf towel attached to my golf bag.

The world has lost a beautiful soul. What a wonderful person Buford was and I
consider myself blessed to have know him. He was our pharmacy software
sales representative and became a good friend through the years. A group of
pharmacists would meet at an annual conference and Buford was always there
representing his company. Oh, the laughs we all had together. I will miss his
laugh, and more importantly, his friendship. I am so glad my husband and I
were able to meet him for lunch in December 2019. At that lunch I remember
him talking about his kids with such love and pride. Buford was truly one of a
kind and will be missed so much. Rest in peace, dear friend. Our lives were
blessed to have had you in it.

If you are lucky, you will cross paths with a few extraordinary people along the
way. I was lucky enough to cross paths with Buford Abeldt, truly an
extraordinary person. Years ago, I reached out to him to learn about QS/1's
pharmacy management system for a planned charitable pharmacy. He spent a
lot of time explaining the merits of his company's software, but also a lot of
time helping me better understand the challenges of operating a pharmacy and
how to craft a charitable pharmacy. He was always eager to help, always
encouraging. After a few years of these interchanges, efforts toward creating
the pharmacy ceased due to lack of adequate funding. A few years passed.
Funding was found. I called Buford, thinking that maybe I was the last person
he would want to hear from, as he had devoted so many hours earlier on my
project that came to naught. Buford could not have been more delighted to
hear from me, was happy that funding had been found, and spent many hours
getting me reacquainted with his pharmacy software, but also again going well
beyond the call of duty by answering each of my thousand pharmacy
questions. The pharmacy was licensed and commenced operations in early
2018. It has flourished, providing free prescription medications to many, many
people who have desperately needed, but could not afford the medications
necessary to control their chronic health conditions.. As I told Buford, the
pharmacy would have likely prospered without his help, but not nearly so well.
Buford and his family are in my prayers. Hank HermannHANK HERMANN, JANUARY 19, 2021

nicest gentleman anytime I saw him. Sending prayers to yall and your family.SARAH CHUNN, JANUARY 19, 2021
Buford Abelt Sr. And Family, I can only imagine the grief you feel losing
Buford Jr. I always admired his gusto he showed for of course his product but
his genuine caring for Texas Pharmacies and Pharmacists. My main memories
thru the years at CONVENTION was his infectious smile and openness to
have a conversation. His presence will be missed by those he may not have
even realized were watching him in the distance. I know he made you proud.
You raised a great son that lived a good but short life. May your heart hurt less
with each passing day. CarrieCARRIE SACKY CONLY, JANUARY 19, 2021
Jean, Grace and Benjamin. I cannot imagine your pain. Buford was such a nice
man and I know he loved all of you. He always had a smile for everyone. You
are all in my daily prayers and please reach out for anything. Hugs.THERESA WEISHAAR, JANUARY 19, 2021
Please accept our condolences on Buford's passing. Our young adult years in
Lufkin hold a special place as we were learning about the joys and struggles
that life holds. Through city league teams of various sports, church, Monday
night football gatherings, and just passing time, we each shared the highs and
lows of the others in our group which gave us a great deal of stability that we
would not have had on our own. Buford was an essential member of our small
group of friends. I appreciated Buford for being Buford. He was unique and
added dimension to our lives.SCOTT & KELLI BLACKERBY, JANUARY 19, 2021

I know I thought the world of Buford and his useless facts, stories and always
an angle. He was funny, warmhearted and overall a phenomenal human being.
Mr. Positivity! I know I will miss the conversations, joking, ribbing and even the
serious discussions that we had over the years. I know many of you have had
much longer to appreciate Buford at RedSail than I have and appreciate him I
did! I was honored to call him friend!
