Bugaboo Australia Facebook Competition terms and conditions
From 10 am (AEST) February 20, 2015 until 5 pm (AEST) on February 24, 2015 (“Contest Period”),
Bugaboo Australia Pty Limited (“Bugaboo”) will organize the “Bugaboo Inside Out competition” (the
“Competition”).
Here’s what you should do
Logon to the Bugaboo Australia Facebook page. Place a comment under the competition post for your
chance to win 1 0f 2 places to attend the event ‘Inside Out’s Open for Inspection’ in Melbourne on
Friday 27th February 2015, with our latest special edition. Tell us what you think has been our most
inspiring special edition of Bugaboo and why?
To participate in the Competition and, before submitting any text, participants are strongly encouraged
to read and must accept these terms and conditions.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. These terms and conditions apply to the Competition. By entering the Competition, participants
expressly agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. However, the Competition shall be void
where prohibited by law.
2. The Promoter for this competition is Bugaboo Australia Pty Limited, suite 2, level 2, 156 Edgecliff
Road, Woollahra, NSW 2025. ABN 151 298 28 280.
3. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Any entry not
complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
4. The Competition is hosted on the Bugaboo Australia Facebook page. Participants need to connect
with Facebook in order to participate. Bugaboo will moderate the entries. The winner will be displayed
on the Bugaboo Australia Facebook page and may also be featured on Bugaboo social media channels
(Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Flickr, etc.).
5. By submitting the text, participants grant Bugaboo the non-exclusive right to reproduce, display and
more generally use and publish the text online for publicity and promotion purposes, free of charge. This
use may include Bugaboo websites, its social network pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
Flickr, You Tube etc. and publication in magazines, catalogues and the like.
6. Bugaboo will moderate the Competition and reserves the right not to accept or publish any winner
from the Competition that does not comply with these terms and conditions.
7. There is no purchase requirement to enter the Competition other than the usual Internet connection
charges payable to the participant’s service provider and/or telephone company.
QUALIFYING PARTICIPANTS
8. The competition is open to residents of Australia only, aged 18 and above.
9. Employees of Bugaboo, including their relatives, agents and people connected with the creation or
administration of the Competition are not eligible to take part in the Competition. Bugaboo reserves the
right to verify the eligibility of all participants.
10. By entering the Competition, the participant hereby warrants that all personal details submitted by
him/her are true, current and complete and that the e-mail address and phone number he/she submits
are accurate and valid.
11. By entering the Competition, the participant also hereby warrants that they will observe a polite
attitude and will not post on any of the Bugaboo social network pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
any comments that would be insulting, offending or content which would be contrary to the law. Any
such comments will immediately be deleted.
12. Bugaboo, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any participant if it has
reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these terms and conditions, has
cheated or does not meet any of the conditions set out in these terms and conditions.
THE COMPETITION – ENTRY AND PRIZE
13. The Competition begins at 10am (AEST) on the 20th February 2015 and ends on at 5pm (AEST) on
the 24st February 2015. Submissions received after this time and date will not be taken into account.
14. Each participant may submit up to 1 comment during the Contest Period.
15. This Competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the identity of the
winner. All valid entries received during the Contest Period will be judged on their merit and the winning
entry judged on creativity, and originality will win the Prize.
16. A jury composed of Bugaboo personnel will select the winner of the Competition.
17. The winner of the Competition will be announced at February 25, 2015.
18. Bugaboo will notify the winner by email or phone using the information given in their competition
entry.
19. The winner of the Competition will win 2 invitations to Inside Out’s Open for Inspection event (“the
Prize”).
20. Flights are not included.
21. Limit of one entry per person.
22. For the avoidance of doubt, no other costs will be assumed by Bugaboo. Nor will Bugaboo be
responsible for any tax implication that may arise from winning the Prize.
23. If the Prize is declined or unclaimed by the winner, or if a winner cannot be contacted from the
details provided within twenty four hours of notification, a replacement winner may be selected by the
jury at Bugaboo ’s discretion from the other selected entries. The new winner will be notified by
Bugaboo. The original winner will then be forfeited.
24. In the event that Bugaboo is unable to supply the Prize (or a part of it), Bugaboo reserves the right to
supply an alternative Prize of similar monetary value.
25. The Prize is personal and will be in the name of the winner. The Prize is non-transferable and there is
no cash alternative. The Prize is awarded at Bugaboo’s entire discretion and no Prize will be awarded as
a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any participant.
LIABILITY
26. By taking part in the Competition, the participant accepts that unforeseen technical problems linked
to the use of computer networks may arise, including problems when connecting to the Internet.
Bugaboo cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by
any participant entering the Competition. Bugaboo is not responsible for any problems or technical
malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer Wi-Fi systems, servers, or providers, platforms
and/or platform operators, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received
on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web
site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s
computer or other mobile device related to or resulting from participation in the Competition.
27. Bugaboo gives no warranty or guarantee in relation to the Prize and accepts no responsibility or
liability for elements of the Prize being amended by Bugaboo.
28. To the fullest extent permissible by law, Bugaboo excludes liability for all loss, damage or claim
arising as a result of the participant’s entry into the Competition or use of the Prize.
DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
29. Bugaboo reserves the right and the participant expressly agrees that Bugaboo may use the name of
the winner and/or their entry content. Use may include the Internet, such as Bugaboo’s website, its
social network pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, You Tube etc. and all Photograph,
publicity, magazines, catalogues or the likes.
30. By participating in this Competition, the participant will only be providing information to Bugaboo.
Bugaboo will store participant’s entry details in connection with this Competition solely for the purpose
of competition administration, unless participants have given permission for additional use.
CANCELLATION
31. Bugaboo reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel the Competition and/or to amend the
terms and conditions or change the Prize at any time and without prior notice.
32. In the event of any dispute regarding the terms and conditions, conduct, results and all other
matters relating to the Competition, Bugaboo’s decision shall be final and no correspondence or
discussion shall be entered into.
33. If at any time one or more of the provisions of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or
unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out without affecting the remaining provisions.
34. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with
the laws of New South Wales and Australia whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
