Founded in 2010, The Greg Secker Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation committed to positively improving the quality of life of people around the world. Focusing on education, life skills and leadership initiatives, the foundation strives to equip communities with the essential tools for success.

What do we do?Support existing charitiesWe partner with other global charities to bring hope and inspiration to young people. Amongst others, The Greg Secker Foundation is proud to work with Virgin Unite, Barnardo’s, Ubuntu Education Fund, Starkey Hearing Foundation, and House of Refuge Foundation, Inc.

So far this year we have sponsored the construction of a medical clinic for the Manila based orphanage, House of Refuge. We have sponsored The Ubuntu Education Fund with the construction of a training space in their new career centre, consisting of 3 classrooms, 2 computer labs and much more.

We also have our own programmes!

Youth programmes - This year our programme `Inspired Youth` brought us to South Africa where we held two successful motivational workshops for disadvantaged youth, reaching more than 800 young people. The Inspired Youth Programme provides participants with access to the country’s leading young aspirational role models at motivational workshops – designed to equip them with the essential tools to achieve the highest level of success.

Build a House, Build a Home - We are building over 100 homes for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the municipality of Lemery. The project is focused around sustainability and we are building a training centre to provide skills training and livelihood programmes for our beneficiaries.

Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines on 7th November 2013 at 4.40am local time.

The destruction path was 100 miles wide with winds of over 170 mph.

It created a storm surge of up to 45ft along the coast.

The Philippines is one of the poorest countries in Asia, Typhoon Haiyan has pushed hundreds of thousands further into poverty.

Most rebuilding projects in the aftermath of typhoon Haiyan were directed towards coastal towns, leaving little, if any restructuring projects for inland towns also affected by the typhoon.

The municipality of Lemery in Iloilo was badly affected by the typhoon and many people are still living in temporary accommodation, their livelihoods destroyed.

The Greg Secker Foundation has made a commitment to the people of Lemery to help restore their community.

Our goal is to build over 100 new homes, designed to withstand future storms, with access to utilities and healthcare. We will also build a sustainable livelihood programme with the view to helping families support themselves. This project will dramatically change the lives of the beneficiaries, for many this will be the first real house they have ever lived in. The project will reduce diseases and accidents by eliminating unsanitary and unsafe conditions.

Local is key and during the programme we are offering employment to local labourers and suppliers, the houses are being built for those most in need.

We are partnering with the Central Philippine University to provide skills training for our beneficiaries, we have big dreams and our vision is a long term plan to create a better future for this community.

You’ll join us on our trip in July where we will take you on an exclusive, private island retreat day. Hosted by Greg, you’ll island hop upon a luxurious yacht, with a sumptuous lunch and suburb water activities. It promises to be an indulgent day of imagination, ideas, friendship and plenty of fun.
