Building/Development work for which permissions are sought'. shall be planned'

designed and supervised by registered professionals' The Registered piofessionals for

carrying out the various activities Shall be:

Architect, Structural Engineer, Town Planner' Landscape Architect' Urban

Designer,supervisor.Requiremerrtsofregistratiorr/licensefortheseprofessionalsbytheAuthorityorbythebodygovemingsuchprofessionandconstitutedunderaStatute,as-applicabie to practice within the local bodies jurisdiction, are given in items I to 7 of the

The registered engineer shall be competent tocarry out the work related to the building /development permit/licence as given below:

a. Prepare aud. sign all building plans,.structural drawings and service plans andinformation connected with buildingpermit/licence;

b. Preparation ofstructural drawings, detailsand calculations of buildings on plot up to500 Sq.m and up to 5 storeys or 16 m inheight, all service plans and relatedinformation connected with developmentpermit/licence ofarea up to I hectare lormetro-cities and 2 hectare for otherplaces.

c. Issuing certificate oi supervision fordevelopment permiUlicence of area up toI hectare and 2 hectare for other places(pertaining to building layout, Buildingstructure, civil works and serviceinstallations);

d. Issuing certificate of supervision andcompletion of all buildings pertaining

EngineerCraduatq in Civiiengineering fromrecognized lndian orforeign university, orCorporate Member(Civil) of Institutionof Fngineers (lndia),minimum 3 years,experience instructural engineeringpractice withdesigning and fieldwork.

NOTE-The3year,sexperience shall berelaxed to 2 years inthe case of post-graduate degree ofrecognized Indian orforeign univetiity inthe branch ofstnrctural engineering-In case of doctorate instructural engineering,the experiencerequired would be oneear

structural engineer shall becompetent to prepare the structural design,calculations anddetails for all buildings andundertake thei r supervision.

In case of buildin gs having special stnrcturalfe.atyres, as decided by the Authority, theyshall be designed only b5, . Stiucturatenglneers.

4 Town Planner Graduate or Post-graduate degree inTown and countryplanning with valid

a. Preparation ofplans for land sub-division/layout and related information connectedwith development permiUlicence lor allareas more than I Hectare..

b. Issuing of certificate of supervision fordevelopment of land of all areas.

NOTE - However, for land layouts fordevelopment permit/licence above 5 hectarein area, landscape architect shall also be

associated, and for land developmentinfrastructural services for roads, watersupplies, sewerage/drainage, electrification,etc, the registered engineers for utilityservices shall be associated.

5 LandscapeArchitect

Bachelor or Master'sdegree in landscapearchitecture orequivalent fromrecognized [ndian orforeign university.

The registered landscape architect shall be

competent to carry out the work related tolandscape design for building/developmentpermit/licence for land areas 5 hectares and

above. [n case of metro-cities, this limit ofland area shall be 2 hectares and above.

6 Urban Designer Master's degree inUrban Design orequivalent fromrecognized Indian orforeign university.

The registered urban designer shall be

competent to cany out the work related to

urban design lor city areas more than 5

hectares and campus area more than 2

hectares. He/She shall also be competent to

blighted/congested areas.

NOTE - For smaller areas below the limitsindicated above, association of urban

A plumber shall be competent to do lhefollowing jobs:

a. Execution / supervision of sanitary rvorksup to 500 Sq.m plot size and 4 storeyedbuildings.
