Chapter: Accreditation Subject: Building Authorization: Coordinating Committee 1.70
Background Accreditation requirements applicable to all disciplines have been identified under the policy Accreditation General. Specific items to be addressed in the accreditation process that pertain to Building Accreditation have been identified.
Policy
1. Persons (firms) in the construction or construction related consulting business may be accredited subject to complying with all requirements of accreditation including conflict of interest guidelines developed by the Safety Codes Council.
2. Municipalities may implement a Master Contractor approach in their
Quality Management Plan.
3. A minimum of one site inspection shall be done by a Building Safety Codes Officer on each part 9 project.
4. A minimum of one site inspection shall be done by a Building Safety Codes
Officer on each part 3 project.
5. Prior to a site inspection, a plans examination for the project shall be completed by a Building Safety Codes Officer.
